The first picture shows the usual 2d flat surface.
The second picture shows a 3d surface where the knobs, switches etc... are draw in perspective in
real time as I move the modules around on the screen. Each parameter requires 5 render operations
so the resulting *.dll file size is a bit larger and 3rd party skins will require a bit more thought.
It's not that the 3d version gives an extra dimension to the final sound
your thoughts are on this sort of thing.
