It's a free upgrade since May. So that includes now, yes.

It's a free upgrade since May. So that includes now, yes.

Does Icarus 2 support multitouch for multitouch screen monitors and laptops?

In the previous Icarus 1.6 it was not possible and this would be a nice realtime experience to play it live, instead to receive the message for one knob at times as it is/was now.

No, unfortunately it does not. This is quite rare in plugins sill though. The only ones I can think of are Sylenth1 and the Arturia plugins. But I agree this is a nice thing to have. I'm not sure what the GUI toolkit is that is used for multi-touch capability but it also tends to have the advantage that there is no delay in the response when touching a parameter. Most plugins have a tiny delay (still usable) when you go to adjust a knob for example. But Sylenth1 and Arturia repsonse immediately, which is great for small adjustments.

It is just the price reduction they done a few years ago and now offering since then as ongoing BF, summer, christmas whatever "sale".

I have been annoyed about it just lately while getting an email about it again (seems I must have subscribed again someway to this). The only thing that sometimes changes are some "kind of" sale for the whole bundles for some synths but never the prize for the synth itself.

I really dont think such a company with such great synths should have something like that necessary especially as these are great guy(s) behind it but thats there desicsion in the end like with the actual upgrade prize I really cant comprehend....

Yeah, the whole sale thing is strange. I kept seeing it, hoping for a big cut!

Anyways...finally bought it. Not sure what took me so long......maybe the 5 minute demo time haha

Started making some drums and got completely sidetracked messing with some of the presets, and I generally avoid presets. Most sounds Icarus...except vox, some Slate drums layered on top of some crusty Icarus synth drums, and my "world famous" Serum guitar patch

The best deals are for Rayblaster and Nemesis. Icarus is only a slight reduction.
It would be cool to see a sale on Icarus (like those other two synths) to celebrate the next version being released.
