To be fair, I was thinking about the drums in the SQ patches where you are limited to what's there and that's it.mitchiemasha wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2019 4:20 pmDrum loops are editable. I often split the drum parts out to their own individual track, sometimes only using the kick or snare etc. You need to spend a bit more time with Nexus.noiseboyuk wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2019 12:32 pm Not unless there are major revisions in N3 that we know nothing about, but I highly doubt that.
Yes quite right you can modify the arp in Drum Loop patches for basic patterns and the front panel controls for overall tweaks, but it is still incredibly limited. There's no mixer controls, no way to swap kit parts in the patch, no sep outs for the instruments, no way to individually tweak an instrument rather than the whole lot - it can't hold a candle next to Avenger. In fact I rarely use Avenger either in truth, usually I use Battery and prorgam patterns in the DAW, I just know my way around the interface better I guess.
But I don't begrudge Nexus for all this, the drums are an extra nice-to-have not a core component of why Nexus is useful imo.
