The upcoming v2 addresses my main ‘complaints’ with Icarus regarding the GUI...metaside wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:45 pm In case this is a serious question: Icarus has one of the best and most flexible resynthesis engines I have had the pleasure of using so far. It has more resynthesis options and also more wavetable editing options than most other synths and all of it is extremely user-friendly, allowing for a fast workflow I can't get close to with other synths. Combined with all the wavetable morph, filter and modulation options, I can do just about anything with any sample I throw at it. So, for me, the question would be: what would I NOT want to do with Icarus![]()
And it adds MPE which is big for me.
From V2 I cannot think of much else I would want added. I do like the proposed idea of a flat GUI. Sound wise, I suppose a HQ mode with more oversampling for the times when I want a more high resolution sound doing audio rate modulations.
Otherwise V2 is looking pretty spiffy!
