Don't get me wrong. All great stuff and worth every penny. But what's been added since is ridiculous. How do people do it?

Speaking as one who has purchased, collected, and designed analog modulars for many years, allow me to put this in perspective. You now possess a modular synthesizer with functionality and capabilities that blows away a hardware synth worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and you're complaining after spending what would have bought you 2 modules. Pardon me if I cut you no slack. I say this in all good humor as I marvel at our modern age. Cherry Audio has done an amazing job creating Voltage Modular and I've had an absolute blast authoring modules for it. I told Dan Goldstein that I'm through designing hardware modules because of it. His jaw dropped.

And yes, more modules are coming for the Laboratory Bundle.

You now possess a modular synthesizer with functionality and capabilities that blows away a hardware synth worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and you're complaining after spending what would have bought you 2 modules. Thank you for putting me in my place. As someone who grew up with hardware, going all the way back to 1977 and probably spending close to $100,000 on all the synths I bought between then and 2014 when I finally went ITB, I went to a software world so that I didn't HAVE to spend that kind of money anymore. So yeah, spending close to $700 on one synth, with still a mountain of modules yet to get, is more than I'M willing to spend on software.

But again, thank you SOOOOO much for putting me in my place.

Yeah, we're damn lucky today. All the soft synths that I own, if bought has hardware in the 80s and 90s, would have probably cost me a total of $150,000 if not more and not the $10-15,000 that it did cost me. But to spend $700 on ONE soft synth, with no end in sight? That's a little crazy, IMO.

look on the bright side, you buy an oscillator, you can have as many oscillators as your pc can handle.
id need to pay for each oscillator and have the space, not to mention cables
i bet for me to automate 10 oscillators the cables would cost more than your oscillator

look on the bright side, you buy an oscillator, you can have as many oscillators as your pc can handle.
id need to pay for each oscillator and have the space, not to mention cables
i bet for me to automate 10 oscillators the cables would cost more than your oscillator
