I corresponded with someone who works for UJAM. I was told that UJAM will soon be promoting its own "very ridiculous deals" for Black Friday.

In related news, Wavelet Audio Cabal 8 (Full) can be had for ~$49 over at TimeAndSpace.com.

Be aware that Cabal 8 requires the full version of Kontakt, it won't work in the Player version.

Although I could be wrong, I think that JRR Shop has the best price right now for anyone who has been holding off on purchasing Carbon (which in hindsight I wish I had continued to do, especially since my 30-day trial was still active):

Thanks for the reminder. I do have the full version of Kontakt which I recently upgraded to version 6 for $49.50 as part of the Native Instruments Black Friday deals.

For some reason, I had to completely obliterate all traces of Kontakt 5 to get all of my sample libraries functioning properly again after installing Kontakt 6.

- and also the range isn't the same as a 6 -string, it's less, so for requests, 6-string range and turn gater/arp off

You can use it in instrument mode if you want to play it yourself. And those aren't arps or sequences, as far as I know they are sampled riffs. And the range of this is about three times better than VG-Iron so count your blessings.

I found the instrument mode(would be good if I write a song along with the phrase)

I guess yeah, the range isn't too bad, and it's exceptionally large filesize-wise to create what it has,
so maybe I guess full range would take a lot of work

the player who has been sampled is exceptionally mechanistic, if this is not done with a gate/arp,
the sound/lines have a real synthy/tight/futuristic yet plainly guitar sound

There is still some weirdness in the timing of some of the vox but otherwise it's just about ready to go.

What I hear sounds more like a distorted synth lead than a typical rock guitar, so you must be using VG_Carbon with its more extreme settings. I am thinking about using VG_Carbon in this manner as well, for some tracks.

That's kind of what I like about it, it doesn't sound like your typical guitar. I've got VG-Iron for that stuff.

Thanks. Yes Carbon has a unique sound. A lot of it is in the strum patterns too. Very cool instrument!
