Nope, the problem is you. You want more tracks and instruments just for the sake of a number. But that's not actually what one needs to make music.
I already said that I rarely get past a dozen tracks, so its not my needs were addressing here.

But if we were being silly we could say why not just use one mono track ?

After all a huge amount of music was produced that way up until the mid 1960s.

Well, there's a difference between using multiple auxiliary tracks (groups, recording, sidechain, etc.) for convenience, and piling up dozens and hundreds of actual audio tracks. As I understand OP, he doesn't want to or cannot do the former and struggles with latter.

If too many tracks are an issue, cut the number of tracks. If you feel like you need more tracks, add them as you see fit. But OP does seem to want a solution that automagically sorts its all out on its own.

So when you say multiple mixers, you mean parts of a single mixing console in multiple windows, correct? I truly don't see where this would be more efficient than collapsible and/or hide-able groups. Seems as if you'd just be trading one set of problems for another.

It's 2019 man lol.

And...

I think (At least for Studio One) between Mixer Scenes’ ability to manage visibility, VCAs, Groups, Folder, there are plenty of tools for this...

One day when they implement Mix Snapshots it will be even better.

I think your proposed system is way over engineered and would be a big hassle if it became a part of the normal workflow- would rather they keep refining their main mixer.

I also find it hilarious that you ask for feedback from other users here and then argue with people who say it’s not their taste.

From the original post. This way of thinking is 1995. Nobody wants to work like that. Except maybe the hardcore Cubase or Digital Performer users who have been using those programs for 20 or 30 years.

I see you edited your post in order to not feel the wrath of Bones. Shame really, as I was rather looking forward to it.

I find it hilarious that people make statements like this without checking their facts first.

Well, I've asked the question, made my argument for it, created a part concept design, documented it, and made my proposal for it in multiple places where Presonus can look it and consider it...and if it comes to pass that they have made something based around that, then you'll know who to thank... ;-) or not as the case might be, because Presonus do listen to my requests and I do have close contacts that work with / for them.

It's 3.50am... somehow I've managed to cross the sleep barrier of falling asleep into being wide awake now... so with that said, it's time to get back to my new toy I just bought on Friday. Rapid by Parawave... :D... Somehow I've ended up posting in this thread rather than the one in the Instruments forum...

They won't consider it. More important priorities at this point.
