I really hope there will (still) be easier ways INSIDE Avenger to install an expansion then installing another daw to do this.....especially as this drag and drop never worked for me on nor on win 10 or win 7 on different computers and in different daw

What is "CP"?

Anyway, Reason users have been used to Codemeter for many years, as it was introduced in Reason 6. For the most part, it works fine. The only time you have to log on to re-validate your license is if you trial a Rack Extension (as that expires after 30 days) or buy a new one, but other than that - no need. You can stay offline forever.

If VPS's implementation in Avenger and its Expansions is similar, I wouldn't worry. If he requires people to log back in and validate every 90 days, then that might be a load of crap, though. Who said this was how it works? Still waiting for Manuel to chime in and set the record straight.
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 13 | i7 3770 @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro| Akai MPC Live 3 & Akai Force | Roland System 8 | Roland TB-3 | Roland MX-1 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD

They said they will make VMan work with Codemeter soon

JunSev wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 5:50 pm This is unbelievable... can someone confirm this? it is true? the copy protection needs to verify each 3 months and it stop working? I never have seen something like this, avenger users have lost completely their synth already if this is true.
I'd like to hear from Manuel exactly how it works, but when you install Codemeter there is no app at all to run. Looks like it's purely a background service. Therefore I can only presume that it does its checks in the background, and as long as you're on the internet at some point in a 3 month period, all is well. I'm not sure what happens if you go over three months (ie your DAW machine isn't ever on the internet), I guess you go through an offline process of some kind.
Seriously that's really a problem, because the users now are in a complete dependency of the company, imagine yourself asking each 3 months permission to use the software you paid for?... Why would I invest my money if it is like this? vengeance overall are aware about many older users that decided to sell their avenger licenses due to this kind of moves.

I know about some bad CP but this has gone too far. I'm just expressing my opinion about something that is simply not ok at all.

Can someone clarify this?

Now I know why I bought Reason 11. To load Avenger 1.5 into it to be able to load my bought expansions to use it in Mixcraft.....

Are you running your DAW as Administrator? If so, you must run (an instance of) Explorer as Admin as well for drag and drop to work.

MadDogE134 wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 7:14 pm so how is this going to work for those that don't want to upgrade... will we still be able to get our old license file to keep the old version running? i have a copy now but what happens if i have a back up go down or a system failure in the future? are we just out of the money invested in the product?
I would like to know this as well. There are no more 1.4.10 installers or expansions in my user account anymore, and also no more keyfile generation interface. It's all 1.5 and codemeter. Does this mean it is no longer possible to unlock 1.4.10 and download the corresponding files from your servers?

There IS an app. Launch it, and click WebAdmin. But the app is just an interface to the service.

I have searched all of the info I could find from Wibu on this question, and as far as I can tell, there is no such thing as a license that automatically renews itself. If that is correct, then the only way the license renews is if you go to the register.vps-avenger.com site and re-authorize the license every 90 days.

I wish Manuel would say something, but he has been silent on this question. It's not like he doesn't know people are asking. I know he's probably barely keeping up with the support requests of all the people transitioning to the new system. Hopefully that's why we haven't gotten an answer yet. Trying to be charitable here...

I suppose it's also possible that he made them temporary licenses only during the transition period, and he will issue permanent licenses later? I mean, that really doesn't make any sense to me, but maybe?

Anyone else get avenger crashing the daw while browsing presets from text-searching? Seems consistent. I'm using FL studio

. I try to activate my license, Error on codemeter. Does anyone have the same problem?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Also, just want to say: Don't underestimate guitars 3 expansion (the bass version) - it's sooo good

I thought - eh, I don't really need or use acoustic or electric bass much, but I figured I should get it since I got the 1st and 2nd guitar expansions. Boy was I wrong about them. They might be more useful than the other two expansions. Crazy how good they sound.

tatanka wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2019 10:23 pm That dont work in my daws, its blocked, no + when I try, neither Mulab nor Mixcraft (and had not worked in 1.4 but there where easy ways to to for example with the VMAN)
I had this problem too, the only way to install my expansion to use the file explorer from avenger itself to drag an drop them to the "import content" button in avenger. I dont know why, the same thing is when i try to drag and drop samples from the media bay of cubase 10 into avenger , doesnt work but using the file explorer from avenger works. Maybe admin rights problem?

Damn you convinced me. . . I will use my last expansion in the 5 pack to get it. Now I have all 3 guitar expansions

guys, sometimes its night somewhere on the planet...
However, I can not really go into tech details about CodeMeter, simply because I dont know it. This is Rene's part or the part of the CodeMeter support. I am the sound design guy. However I know, that it should be refreshed every 3 months. But the VMAN will be back until then and this shouldnt be more than 1 click, or even less.
