is something like this possible?
"Apply Melody Variation"
use the full length of melody phrase even the target phrase looped?
both tracks uses same piano phrase and same melody phrase in the variations
Track 1 : piano phrase (target) is looped
Track 2 : target glued
(sorry if i ask this before)

This is the way it worked from v2.9 to v3.1. I am totally uncertain about this. The question is whether resizing ("repeating" in this case) should be applied before or after applying the variations. Or it could be a user choice for expert users, because the results sometimes differ.
When the phrase was repeated first, then the variations are applied, there was a strange result for Quantize when the phrase did not end on a 1/4 boundary. That was when I decided to restore the old behaviour. Probably this should be a setting for each phrase...
Today I implemented this setting which can be found in the next beta version:
Thanks,
Attila

Hi Simon,
the MIDI text markers are not imported at the moment.
You have an option to export chords as MIDI markers, but for importing there is nowhere to display these text labels. When the lyrics track will be implemented, lyrics will definitely be imported.
Thanks,
Attila

Hi Attila!
I often have to analyze the scales and modes of different melodies and it seems to me that RC will do a great job with this work, which is so necessary for all musicians. Probably from my pictures it will be approximately clear how I propose to analyze monophonic absolute notes in RC. Thanks.

Would it be acceptable to have a "Replace Master Track Scale" option here:
I am just thinking about where this could be inserted logically.
Thanks,
Attila

Hi Attila!
I think it’s more visible to you, as a developer, where to place this option) But I would like to get an answer from you about whether it is possible to analyze scales and modes for absolute monophonic melodies. This is very necessary so that I can decide whether I need these scales and modes to apply them later in the master track and of course save them to the scale browser for later use. Thanks.

OK last Q. of the year
Idea Tool,
i know you are planning the major things for v4
but is it possible to have the Track Randomize works for any selected Lines,
not only for the first Lines in the Parts ? .. before the v4 ?
current:
Clone Part - Randomize the track you need - clone the Line - move clone Line to main Part - delete the cloned Part ..
repeat the process for example if you want to add another instruments in Lines 3 and 4
in this case wold great time saver if we can randomize the tracks in the Lines freely.

The last page of this pdf has (python) code for a function for determining scale http://dmitri.mycpanel.princeton.edu/music21.pdf . I don't know if it works, or how well. It doesn't rank scales by likelihood, which would probably be useful.

Suggestion: Designation of User Favorite Phrases and Rhythms.
In the Phrases and Rhythms Browsers, I would find it very useful if I could designate particular Phrases or Rhythms as "favorites" and subsequently see those designations in the lists (e.g. with an asterisk by the item), and ultimately sort the favorites to the top of the list, or filter the list to show only favorites.
Update: There is relevant information here for using tags to assist with this.
