How can you tell which Ignition Keys and CmSticks are v3? Have not been able to find a webshop that is specific about this. Really don't want to run Codemeter on my machine, had very bad experiences in the past.

I don't think it's possible to buy the ignition key separately. Whatever you decide to buy, check with vengeance support first to make sure that it's compatible.laz wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 7:13 amThank you. I'm gonna buy this Reason ignition key and will try. Hopefully it will work.neverbeeninariot wrote: Fri Dec 06, 2019 11:53 pm No problem, ask away
I emailed Vengeance support after I failed to get it to work with a V2 (ignition key), and they confirmed it would only work with >= v3.

Reason key is not for sale without buying reason. It's very uncomfortable that Avenger is offered as "could be licenced on a stick" but there is no help in getting such a stick. But that's just my 2 ct.

unfortunately we are way to small to operate a shipping business of physical products.
But we are investigating the possibility of Sweetwater selling the dongles

I think it is available in a store Greece and Cyprus where I live.Dr.Future wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 9:32 am Reason key is not for sale without buying reason. The thing is when I got a response for the support they told me:
"Hi
we dont sell the dongles, I am sorry.
User reported, the Propellerheads Reason Dongle worked for them."
So this is not official that the ignition key will work. But I have to come in contact with them again.

I may be wrong about this, but I’d assumed that Codemeter is like iLok in that you had to install the system on your computer no matter what, and that the only difference with having a physical dongle is where the license itself is stored. In other words, Codemeter is being installed a d run on your machine regardless of whether the license itself is on the machine or on the dongle.nonstatic wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 9:05 am How can you tell which Ignition Keys and CmSticks are v3? Am I mistaken about this? In other words, if you have a dongle, do you somehow not have to install Codemeter on your computer?

Just to give feedback, so far everything works fine here.
I installed Avenger & Expansions and Codemeter following the Youtube video instructions, activated everything, and it all went smoothly.
Cinematic 2 Exp is really impressive, looking forwards to Cinematic 3:)

Wow - that’s an expensive gamble at $50 USD retail. For what it’s worth - I think that version 3 dongles are only sold direct from Reason Studios shop (they’re silver). The earlier versions (all red with “Propellerhead” silk screened into them) are likely versions 1 and 2.laz wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 7:13 amThank you. this i would also like to know and where to buy it except from the Reasonstudios shop .
yes but i dont know what the shipping costs from america to europe would be ? maybe it ends up that the stick at the end probably costs arround 70 Dollar and tbh it is very expensive . not even elicenser or ilok that expensive .msvs wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 9:56 am unfortunately we are way to small to operate a shipping business of physical products.

thats one thing . so another thing are some user going to buy an cm stick and the next time u telling people , maybe on an v2 update or something , you are going to switch to another protection , whats then ? burned extra money or do we get the money back ? the only company which im aware of which use the possibility to use the Codemeter CM stick are Reasonstudios , Antares and you now .

for myselves i prefere dongle , i have 2 elicenser and 2 ilok because of switching pcs . also when you setup a new pc its much easier for me , i dont needs to activate every single plugin . just plug in the dongle and i can work without reauthorizing everything . i also dont needs to fear if the pc dies that i needed to deauthorize the software , or if so to writing to every company and tell them that the pc have die and ask them if they can reset authorizations and so on .sircuit wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 3:56 pm On this very thread, 740 pages behind, people were screaming “no dongle for Avenger!”. 740 later, people discuss about buying dongles. What a time to be alive!
thats just my personal experience , othe people prefere diferent things and have other opinions about .

Well, the dongle is *optional*, so both of the posts above make no sense whatsoever.HcDoom wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 6:23 pmIve sold Avenger because of new protection scheme and I dont regret it at all.sircuit wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2019 3:56 pm On this very thread, 740 pages behind, people were screaming “no dongle for Avenger!”. 740 later, people discuss about buying dongles. There are many protection systems and they have chosen the worst for the customer. It is my opinion. I don't think I paid a new version.
