Oh, I see

then it must mean that Gigasampler and Akai S5000-S6000 do translate correctly to Halion format.
What you have to remember when using the Translators .....
Most will not Translate correctly as in ..... Filter settings etc. are always different on different samplers ....and most translators just translate the Raw samples and then you may need to tweak them in your new format...
This of course depends on the source .... But it is rare to get a set of Samples that translates perfectly.

That said .... This is still a great program!

I couldn't resist ordering this having tried the demo all of 10 minutes.

I already own Awave, but exsc has a few features Awave doesn't, and the interface is way more intuitive.

Another thing I noticed was how much hotter (level wise) the stuff converts in exsc compared to Awave.
I wonder why that is?

But is it 2005 or 2.03? I get the impression that announced isn't the same as available, or else the web site needs a lot of updating.

What version did you actually get?

No, NOTHING translates into Halion format is what the chart is showing. You can translate FROM, but not TO Halion, using ESC. Unless we're looking at different charts. The one I'm peeking at is here:

http://www.extranslator.com/en/formats.htm

Though, looking at their "next in development" list, you should soon be able to export as Halion2 format, which will suit your needs unless you're still using Halion1.

And Kontakt! It would be great to be able to convert from giga/sf2 to Kontakt. 8) Sampletank 2 conversions would be pretty useful too. Much as I like ST2 I would prefer to use my sounds in Kontakt. In fact I would like to convert everything to Kontakt. Does anyone know which converter does the best Kontakt conversions?

I had also asked for sfz a while ago. I guess enough people did so.

The current version is 2.03 and the next 2005 version will be available mid 2005.
I asked them by email :
When is the 2005 version is available ?
Next year. Probably it will be the mid. Maybe a shorter. But this is the approx. date of releasing.

Will the upgrade be free if i purchase a version today ?
EXSC 2005 will be offered with small additional fee for registered users.
The price for new customers is not established yet.
