I think it's a bit early to be talking group buy. This thing was just released after all. I wouldn't be shocked if sales were going quite well right now.

What's this about pace and Torben's plugs. The golden series use a key file rather than C&R, were they using a pace wrapper for the 14-day time limit? Was this the source of the graphics bug?

Yikes, that's rather scary. Glad I didn't have anything with Pace drivers before the fix, I've come to rely pretty heavily on the golden series.

I asked the Princeton guys if they are going to do VST versions of the other reverbs also and I got exactly the answer I was expecting to get:

Seems like they are going to see if people will buy them enough and if the piracy wont be too big a problem. Hmm... That probably means that we'll have to wait at least another year before they'll release another reverb... :? :( :roll: :o :-o :cry:

How did you contact them? I've sent them mail via my hotmail account and it was returned as spam. I'm trying to contact them to get a fix for the Cakewalk adapter problems I'm having. I can't open the plugin in any host - it just hangs.

I wish they released it with an installer. At least then I could be sure I've uninstalled everything and try again. A .dll with copy protection is annoying - even if I delete the .dll I can't get rid of the c/p which has corrupted the plugin on my system. Anyone else have the same problem?

I'll start out with a quick introduction -- I'm the guy who wrote the vst (along with Tony Agnello who came up with the original algorithm).

I'm psyched that people like the sound of the reverb, but I'm a bit concerned about the reaction that people are having to our choice of copy protection. I had no idea that choosing PACE would cause so much trouble. Oh well, live and learn. I just want to let people know that we're open to suggestions for alternatives.

I try to respond to all emails as quickly as possible, so if you haven't received a response, then there's a possiblity that I didn't get it (so please try again). I'm trying to test this thing on as many hosts as possible, but our resources are limited and it gets a bit expensive! Your patience is appreciated.

Your post prompted me to look on IRC, and it's already cracked. So howabout no copy protection... the guys who are stealing it arent dealing with PACE... and the legit users are "suffering".

eh. You'll have my buy (and a glowing review from an sp2016 owner when I get a chance to write it if I can manage) when PACE is gone.

I'm looking forward to trying it but as I mention above so far no luck. I seem to be jinxed as far as your products go because my hotmail emails are returned as spam. :-o

I have MAX/MSP which uses pace. The only problem I had with that was that initially it generated an unusable challenge code. Eventually that got resolved. I like the Native Instruments method of instant challenge and response online. It always seems to work and I own a number of their products. Cakewalk ship a physical product and use serials. I'm sure none of this stops the crackers but both systems are user friendly so I can tolerate them.

My problem with the cp system you are using is that I think your cp has installed a file/files on my system that authorise the cp. This is all well and good if everything goes fine during the initial cp checking proceedure. But, as in my case, if there is a problem it leaves the user stuck. Now I can't use the demo and I don't know how to correct the problem.

If your reverb is as good as people claim it is I'm pretty sure I would've bought it had it not caused this installation problem. Even if I did buy it now I wouldn't be able to use it due to the cp. I'm still hoping there is a solution. :wink:

Hi! I've tried your reverb demo and I really like the sound but when I save a project with custom settings of the reverb, these settings are not restored when I reopen the project. Is this a limitation of the demo?? I've tried it in Cubase SX 2 and EnergyXT - neither of these hosts will save my custom reverb settings.
