Just demoed this.very unimpressed.the sound engine is just so meerh.the oscillators,the modulators(crap envelopes,control rate LFO's passing off as audiorate),fx are a total joke,filters?(lol).the phase drift is pretty cool instead of completely randomised phase when not retriggered(this is how it should be implemented in every VSTI IMO).i went through some of the presets including some of the ridiculously layered Rob Swire patches and despite the pretty stellar sound design,theres zero density despite the amount of components that make up a patch,which i further confirmed was just what the sound engine tended towards when i started making my own multilayered patches in it.wouldn't pay 50euros for this thing let alone 170.if you are into this type of hierarchical patch design then i think Reaktor would be a better investment.better sound engine,better modules(especially some of the newer blocks),slightly bigger learning curve but the sound is instantly rewarding.VCV Rack and Softube Modular would also be ones to look into as well.i am really interested in these big idea synths e.g this and Meldas MFactory for instance,but i dont see the point in using things that do a lot of things but none of them well which seems to be a trend some VSTI's are gravitating towards

The core sound and fx is exactly why I passed on phaseplant as well. Subjective, yeah, I know.

good news from kilohearts Phase Plant inbox:

We do however have big plans for presets.
- Firstly there is an expansion to the factory presets coming soon. (free)
- Secondly the overall usability of finding and using presets is getting a big update very soon. (free update)
- Thirdly we have plans for allowing users to make their presets available to other right there in the synth, which should push the number of available presets to insane numbers. (free future update)
- Lastly we will be working with professional sound designers and artists to create preset banks continuously (paid banks)

Especially ability to share presets soon between users internally is exciting.

Not yet, kilohearts has gotten back to me, I guess the serial numbers pluginboutique sent me aren't even part of a bundle ??? PB hasn't responded

That sucks... PB are usually legit, though possibly overloaded this time of year. Kilohearts are always keen to help when they can but this may be out of their hands.

You could use the trial in the meantime if you're itching to get creative?

I've already expired the trial unfortunately. Yeah, I've had good experience with PB is the past, and it seems like everyone is moving over to them. I'd prefer to keep all of most serials in one place (though I have bought a few through PA and a couple other places with sales). I bought it when I bought it though cus I wanted to enjoy it on my day off lol...

Still have rapid to play with in the mean time

Maybe ask Kilohearts to reset your trial...

I've thought about it, but I'd hate to not be able to save patches while I wait to use the what I bought lol
Kilohearts has been awesome in responding and keeping in contact. PB is on day 3 with no response lol. What sucks is this is like the new synth I've purchased that will run in logic on my old as computer. Europa, Rapid, & MassiveX won't run as AU on my computer.
