How do you get music on podcasts these days?

Hi Folks,

I used to upload tracks to the podsafe music network or music alley to feature on podcasts, but it seems things have moved on since then. What's the best way to get played on podcasts these days? Is there a similar portal? I'm in the UK if that makes any difference.

Cheers!

Good question, I'm interested in the answer too. 10 years ago just uploading to Soundcloud would get my music in podcasts and radio shows, but I don't think it's that easy anymore.

contact podcasters who play stuff you like?
preferably ones you listen to rather than just names on a list. reciprocal measures are a key factor!

I have a podcast/radio show... but my thing is I only play original music from my little region, so that doesn't help you, also, nobody listens to it, so that especially doesn't help you. :hihi:

Hey

We have all heard this before, but the golden days of Soundcloud are over! If you get your music on Spotify, its usually a good way to get onto playlists if things work out for you!
