I didn't compare them, I mentioned the environments and issues they face,
as software developers. Comparison would be ridiculous,
as NI is a pretty big multi-office company, U-he is a smaller company
(assumption on my part) and George is often alone,
or with occasional contract help.

Post

What I would have done is first come up with a series of regular good updates, say, for a year or even a bit more and THEN introduce the so-called 'cloud' thing. Introducing the 'cloud' w/o a backdrop of regular updates is risky.

and had to release an unfinished Massive X...
In my opinion, it wasn't incompetence, or bad coding,
it was a cash-flow problem, and the decision had to be made.

But people enjoy Massive X and Discovery Pro etc, despite issues
with the sundry businesses and practices that provide them.
Businesses are dealing with swamp creatures hellbent on more and more petty rules, regulations, fees, and taxes. I say good luck to George, NI, AIR, U-he,
IK, Korg, and all the rest, and hope they all find a business model
that will keep the doors open, with new and improved products
in the future :hyper:
Comparing discoDSP with real developers (regular updates, new releases, great reputation etc.) like NI or u-he is ridiculous.
Agreed. They are professional companies who don't have public meltdowns whenever anyone criticises their products or questions their business practices.

Hmm... at least for one of those two companies, i wouldn't stake my life on it. ;)

This is great to see this product continued! Looking forward to playing with it tonight! Er, um...Discovery Pro that is.

6.9 always crahses after a few minutes in Studio One 4.6.1. Seems to happen randomly when just playing presets. No other plugin crashes on my system.
