Well, they got me. At least I didn't give them any details. :?
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

good thing I couldn't care less about Mac's
let alone emulated on a PC

what would have been the point, to run Logic?

Well, for me it was more the principle of persuading Mac-only developers to port to PC... There are a lot of creativity apps that are still Mac only, and the existence of an emulator would demonstrated the PC-based demand for such things.

And yes, to run Logic (not for me, as I'm a pretty happy SX3 user, but for a number of "orphaned" Logic PC users I know).

but you have to be lucky any program works fine in an emulator, let alone a piece of software like Logic which demands so much from a machine it sometimes is a bitch to set up even on it's native platform

you're asking for problems

and I'm not sure which creative tools on a Mac you're talking about? (apart from a few) surely it should be the opposite, all the PC stuff that's not accessible for Mac users

Probably... Although CherryOS claimed to inteface directly with PCI devices (via a virtual PCI bridge), which would suggest a certain stability and low latency of operation. And 20% performance would not have been too bad a hit on todays fast machines. I suppose my geek side also thought it was just an impressive technical accomplishment. :hihi:

The latter is definitely true, but it doesn't mean that the PC side has everything covered as well as the Mac side. Anyway, I heard it in the pub so it must be true. :hihi:

I think if the right people draw their attention to it, it can be done and successfully.. I just haven't seen anything yet that comes even close
