Is there a text version?

Here are the 10 most popular distributors:
CD Baby, Distrokid, ReverbNation, LANDR, Tunecore, RouteNote, OneRPM, Ditto Music, Fresh Tunes, Musicinfo
Each service is unique, so you should try to learn more info before picking one. The procedure is not very difficult, you just need to have time (not to do it in a hurry) in order everything to be ok.
Streaming makes more money than physical CDs, digital downloads, and licensing deals combined. It is believed that streaming will continue to increase over the next 10 years, leaving only a 5% or less to physical music sales.

That’s money paid to Spotify, it doesn’t discuss what portion of that goes back to the artist. So as I said, streaming is rubbish from an artist perspective.

One sold track gives me around 0,84€
Around 100 streams is... 0,15€? Or 0,30€.. Something like that.
So I'd be happy if everyone who likes my tracks, bought a copy

You can reclaim your Spotify profile. https://artists.spotify.com/
Anyway, the money is transferred to labels first.

You are right. Yes, the truth is that you must have a huge number of streams in order to get some money...Mushy Mushy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 2:32 pmmusic-artwork wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 2:29 pmI read that in this articleMushy Mushy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 2:22 pmSource? Yeah. I would be interested in seeing the source for that claim as well. My understanding of the current Spotify system is, you make a little more than from YouTube but it's still peanuts compared to Bandcamp.Mushy Mushy wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 2:22 pmSource? There is this cellist, Zoe Keating, that like to tweets about and rant how little she makes from royalties. It was interesting following her for a while but then it got stale seeing the same tweets over and over.

Portishead's Geoff Barrow has revealed he earned just $2,500 from 34 million streams of his music. The British took to his Twitter account to blast Apple, YouTube, Spotify and “especially” his label Universal Music for “selling our music so cheaply.”
