Thank you, Soma !soma wrote: Tue Dec 17, 2019 5:26 pm It’s working in a Dev Bild now but we are focusing on a new release first (that has the resize feature), and then plan on an update to dub machines. Most likely a free update with resize and not many new features.

Hello,
I see that on your website and plugin boutique, Dub Machines are on sale right now.
When i look at the GUI pictures on Plugin Boutique, the screenshot offers a very big picture, much much more than the Diffuse one i'm using on my computer : does this mean that the GUI resizing got silently updated ?

December 2019, a few months ago:Vortifex wrote: Fri Apr 03, 2020 10:07 am I put in a request for resizing two years ago and got a non-committal 'it's something we'd like to do at some point' answer. They've not been updated since April 2018. I don't think resizing is going to happen.

But February 2020 does feel like ages ago...

Unfortunately no resizing yet.
That's just a 1:1 image (and how it looks to a lot of people in their DAW). That image might get scaled to High density pixel monitors but unfortunately our existing plugin does not, so it appears 1/2 as big as we intended on high density windows monitors.
We're updating our framework and have working alphas of adjustable sizes. We are about to start beta testing this feature which will first be seen in a new product and then subsequently in an update to both Dub Machines.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE OLD MAGNETIC AND THE NEW MODNETIC?
Compared to the Ableton M4L version (Magnetic), the new VST/AU plugin Modnetic has been completely rewritten from scratch in C++ for better performance and higher quality. We’ve painstaking created brand new ‘character modes’ that affect the whole system, provided a new set of reverbs and colors (keeping the best from before) and made everything completely smooth and click free in realtime performance, not to mention plugin features like AB compare and mix lock… but the biggest change has to be… our new modulation system!
Modnetic has a fully featured and easy to use modulation section with chorus, flangers and phasers. In each type you get many modes that go from analog modeled BBD circuits to clean digital and character modes for each type.
The manual is dense, we know. But there’s lots of tips and tricks and a ‘walk through’, plus details we hope you don’t need to know, but give you expert control, like how our level dials automatically have a secret life as dry/wet knobs when needed, etc.
(As an aside, the whole process took about two years of research and development, lots of gear rental, two UI redesigns and a new web page …plus blood, sweat, tears and trans-European travels).

except the fact one is solely for Ableton obviously.

This is how it is displayed on Plugin Boutique... and on my computer
It has a lovely sound, but it is so tiny... I guess I will wait for the update, then

We tried to make parts of it fun to read but in the end it IS a manual. (We also tried to make it fun to use even if you never intended to read it... we're quite familiar with those folks, and like being them too sometimes.)

2 years later and still no resizable GUI, I love Dub Machines but I barely use them these days because they're so tiny.
I'm no developer, but how hard can it be to make a resizable GUI, does it normally take 2 years?

It's a part time job. I'm designing instruments and effects for Ableton our main developer is a professor of signal processing and our other is working developing tech for sound in cars and stage.
