Exactly, and I find Arturia quite generous with their offers. The Pigments 2 crossgrade offer from "free reverb" when it is already available for half the price? That's an insane bargain. Ridiculously generous.Ficciones wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 11:13 pm The new granular engine is *chef's kiss*, just perfect, carefully thought out and solidly implemented, and the sample and grain parameters benefit from its stellar modulation system. People are selling synth plugins of a fraction its quality and versatility for two and three times the sale price. Ridiculously good. A must-have.

I very much do share your painJO512 wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 5:12 pmThanks for the heads-up!
I don't know how I survive the holiday season financially! I can't pass all this stuff up! Maybe we need to start a plugin-buyers anonymous group!
I feel guilty with too many synths. Now, some of those other ones I paid dearly for will be used a lot less.

Experimenting with a custom patch using the granular engine in Pigments 2, tweaking the assigned Macros and other parameters on the fly.

Insane to get a "crossgrade" (in my mind, a crossgrade would be from a competing product such as Avenger, but who cares) from a freebie! As if the freebie wasn't enough! The people at Arturia surely must love Christmas and New Year's Eve!

Decided to buy Pigments as a xmas present for myself but try as I might I cannot get the buying page to accept my money! I have tried twice now and it keeps saying invalid data but I validated the credit card and ticked the disclaimer box etc. Anyone else had this problem or could tell me what data may be wrong?

Might sound obvious, but ensure all the mandatory billing info is in place. I have never faced this problem when ordering from Arturia.Keith99 wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2019 3:37 pm Decided to buy Pigments as a xmas present for myself but try as I might I cannot get the buying page to accept my money! If everything is fine, perhaps try tomorrow? There could be a temporary issue at there end?

The updated Arp and new sample engine are nice additions, you can get a bit more organic sounds now then possible V1:

Has anyone tried loading multiple samples, setting it to random (or round robin) and using granular? It's really cool, it seems to randomize or round robin the actual grains, giving the effect of sort of using all the samples at the same time (but the grains triggering sequentially) with a new texture combining all the samples that is different from just layering granular oscillators. Try it out. I might have to get this just for the granular alone.

Yes, really many ideas coming to mind. Sometimes it seems to me that the programmers from Arturia accidentally born something even better than planned. (joke)
Among other It's worth to mention again his sequencer, damn it's very good system.

The only thing (that i already saw in thread from some user) really would be cool to add interaction between modulators and sequencer playback - not only time, but exactly play position (it's supposed to add a knob of the current position).
And vice versa respectively - sequencer as modulator, that more usual thing, can say (Is he really absent from the sources or am I missing something?)
But this is not critical, just another step deep.

Another cool thing is that with mpe it is easy to add a curved response to the expressions, which is pretty rare for mpe synths out there and very useful for getting very different modulations from different ranges of aftertouch or vertical axis.
