So, I somehow got my hands on an old Polish transistor organ earlier this year. Nobody likes transistor organs anywhere, and this one's worse than most - just five drawbars (with the highest not working on mine), and some extra "lead" and "tremolo" buttons which make rather buzzy, synthy waveforms. These mostly just make the organ more obnoxious, but they do have potential as raw material for something else. And here is that something else. And it's free.

Thanks for paying attention to the needs of penguins renting rooms from a man named Wallace! It's about time someone served our needs.
I love your crazy stuff, keep it up man!
Without revealing trade secrets, can share any of your workflow for creating/cleaning/mapping samples? I'm starting to do some of that myself.

Yeah, this is an insane fantastic idea. Sampling a transistor organ
is rather unique and inimitable! Thanks for that!

Sure, I documented a lot for sfzformat.com. Sometime next year, I'll also explain all the modulations in this particular beast, as a couple of people have said they'd find that useful. Plus I also have a couple of guides I made that I haven't published that I sent to people editing samples for us. PM me if you want those, they're not generalized enough or clearly edited to publish widely, but they might be useful.Winstontaneous wrote: Sat Dec 21, 2019 6:44 pm Without revealing trade secrets, can share any of your workflow for creating/cleaning/mapping samples? I've never really explained the process for deciding what to sample and how, or how to plan the recordings, but for a lot of what happens after the recordings have been captured, I do have at least some info written down.
