You've written some text that clearly didn't come from their own site so no evidence is yet presented into how Waves have broken the law you dubiously reference?

I thought I was clear, I'll repeat what I said:
They change the prices and discounts to pretend the cost has gone down when it remains the same or even goes up.

This is called deception and it's illegal.

a blend of scifi noise and psy trance!
the kids will love it.
or hate it.
I'm in. Guess I'll need some plugins first though. What do you think of Waves?

Dying immigrant babies in camps vs saving 50c on a plugin. Close enough I guess.
Please invite me to your charity concert.
Doubt it, you'll complain if I offer early bird tickets.

Actually the laws being pointed out here don’t really apply. For one thing, you can
not own a software product, you pay for right to use it only. Classifying software as goods is only for convenience, arguably the term doesn’t really apply so well.

Just as a quick reminder: the whole law thing just came up somewhere on the second page of this topic. If you look at my original post I'm not even mentioning the word "(il)legal" anywhere.

But if everybody's so eager to know which laws apply, I invite you to do your own research and share the results, instead of just calling me out :phones:
You were the first to mention it in the thread to be fair.

The laws cover products and services, which includes software purchases.

I don't see a great problem in WUP, it makes some sense somehow, but the today promo, of 50% in products that were doubled price was.... mildly infuriating.

The question is that the value of Waves Plugins now are $29 (at last, for most of the old ones, new ones seems to me $39 or something). And they do a different promo everyday where these plugins are sold by.. $29. they should just set the price of the products to $29.
