Just a silly question, these files contain different sounds from the plugin? or are they the same sounds, but different order, to mimic the preset order of the SR-JV cards?

Hi, these files contain original patches from SR-JV80-XX cards which Roland converted from SR-JV80-XX cards to SYSEX and put on CD-ROM, which was included with SRX cards 06-08. Sounds are different from presets of SRX Cloud VSTi....

These are presets for the XV5080 vst converted to be used with jv1080 vst and srx keyboards vst

Does anyone know if it's possible to use/convert a third-party XV soundbank to use with Roland Cloud's XV-5080? My bank is compatible with all XV hardware models but I'd like to use it with Roland Cloud's XV-5080.

I don't know if the JV-1080 sysex converter is still an active projetct, but there is a lot of sysex available.

I talked with developer of this python script. Perhaps you are referring to some other converter? Please correct me if i am wrong.

With this python script You CAN NOT convert commercial or user SYSEX patches which are made for JV1080 Hardware into .bin (to be used with JV1080 VST).

This is not possible with his conversion tool.

Apparently JV1080 Hardware Sysex files have different formatting and he was not been able to do it.

His conversion tool is created for XV3080 and XV5080 into JV1080 VSTi- that's what developer said to me himself when i pointed out that i can't convert my own SYSEX from my own JV1080 hardware to be used as bin in VST (software).

Really? I find that a bit of a stretch.

Granted, I still have mine, but it doesn’t see any use these days (least of all because of my ex-wife deliberately smashing the display). No, I can’t see this being the plugin which tips the scales to make me pay a monthly fee to Roland.

The JV-1080 was the best selling Roland synth ever, outselling the D-50. So, it’s safe to assume that more than 150,000 1080’s were sold.
