Fantastic! Is there any way to share that patch? I spent about 10 minutes with the new version and was quite impressed. I posted a thank you on the Arturia Facebook page and recommend others so the same. I think we want to show appreciation when companies add MPE to their synths. Hopefully V Collection is next.

Great one, Steve! I’ve added to the LinnStrument Owner Videos playlist. It sounds like there are two parts— a background sequence and the part you’re playing— correct?

Roger, there are two background tracks both of which are generative (I have 1 note on a loop and Pigments is doing the rest). It's really fun using the randomizers in this way in Pigments. In both those tracks I'm using them to control a bunch of parameters as well as the pitch (which is constrained to a pentatonic scale) in conjunction with samples and some controls in the granular engine.

And Jeremy the main patch is from the preset "eastern explorer." I actually turned off engine 1 (it was a little dense with both for my taste) and tweaked the attack and comb filter very slightly.

This really is a great soft synth. I'm trying to figure out a way to conceal the $70 expenditure it will take for me to buy it, but I'll figure something out

Well, I promise this will be the last one for a while!

I just couldn't help myself from doing one more with some Sound Dust stuff. Pendle has created an entire sonic ecosystem. Sometimes I go down that rabbit hole for musical days at a time. Fortunately I can do so because I'm an ambition-less amateur!

Nice stuff, I have just been looking through the Sound Dust website, some quite interesting stuff there.

What do you do set up a Kontakt multi for the Linnstrument?

Which ones do you recommend?

Bobdog: Yes, I set up a kontakt multi, which is a bit unpleasant because once I actually get the patch set up and I get to hear what it really sounds like in "mpe" mode, I always want to tweek it, which means...well, you know. But I find it well worth it with these libraries because they are that good to my taste anyway. Typically the only thing I do behind the "front panel" is adjust the pitch bend to the kontakt max 12 (which if anyone wants more detail on how to do that, I'm happy to provide). Some of his libraries have adjustable pitch on the gui, but not most.

In terms of bang for the buck of sheer sonic diversity (and the chance of losing hours at a time), I would highly recommend "flutter ep", "flutter dust" and either "infundibulum" (starting out with #1 makes sense). But I wouldn't want to part with any of his libraries, and I have bunch of them.

I uploaded a full band cover of Daft Punk's Voyager

The Linnstrument parts are made with Cypher2, by far the best synth vst that I've come across.

Thanks. Yes in Bitwig, although I having a little trouble hitting the "buttons" cleanly this time. I would love it if they offered a screen that you could design for looping/live performance, etc. (sort of like you can do in Usine Hollyhock).
