I hated Friends, that stupid watered spin-off of the Seinfeld,
but the songwriting was good, especially her soul-funk era.

Sad to hear of her passing. She was involved in some classic R&B hits and records from early 80s.

Yup. I never knew she wrote September. I always thought it was Maurice White.
