Hello,

I'm having a problem with Ableton.
UPDATE: SWITCHING OFF AND ON THE USB PORT FOR THE UMC204HD SEEMED TO DO THE TRICK, BUT NOW IT'S NOT WORKING RIGHT AGAIN.

ANOTHER UPDATE: I'VE TRIED PLUGGING IN THE HEADPHONES INTO THE UMC204HD, AND THEY WORK AND PLAY AUDIO FINE. SO IT HAS TO BE ABLETON OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT, I'M GUESSING.

YET ANOTHER UPDATE:

I THINK I GOT IT FIXED!!

I just got a Behringer Deepmind 12 for Christmas, and I got it set up and working in Ableton Live.

I then realized how bad the latency was, so I went about changing the buffer size and whatnot. I also switched from MME/DirectX to AISO, then switched it back. Now, ever second, for maybe only a couple milliseconds, the VU meter for the 2 audio channels show that sound is playing, even though it isn't. If I hold down a note on the Behringer Deepmind 12, and keep holding it down, the audio will play, but only during the little "burst" of "sound" that the VU Meters show.

I've never experienced something like this before and it's really weird.

I tried closing and reopening Ableton, I've tried turning off the Behringer Deepmind 12, I've tried Shutting down and Turning my computer back on again, nothing works. Also, I have a midi keyboard, an Alesis V25, and when I load up an Ableton sound (in this instance, the Grand Piano), it works fine, and the sound is ok, and no weird VU Meter flashes.
I've turned the sample rate back to 4096 as well.

Please, help, this is really weird, and I've never seen anything like it.

The Behringer Deepmind 12's sound is good, I checked through headphones.

I also have a Behringer UMC204HD, which the Behringer Deepmind 12 is plugged into, and the UMC204HD is plugged into a USB Port.

Please, I really want to be able to get this fixed, this only just started happening and it's really weird.

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas!

EDIT: Another weird thing, I just tried switching to the ASIO Driver again, and the same thing happened to me again, I thought my mouse's battery died, because it stopped moving. I replaced the batteries and it sort of choppily moved around, and as soon as I was able to switch back to MME/DirectX, it worked fine.

So maybe that's part of it??

EDIT 2:
Also, here's a screenshot of my Audio Preferences / Settings in Preferences.

Are you using the dedicated driver for your audio interface?

Post

Use the ASIO drivers.
