This week I bought "The Classic" expansion. I Registered it to my Toontrack account, downloaded and installed it. When I selected it in EZDrummer I logged into my Account and Authorized it.
So far, so good.
I then looked at the Authorizations tab in my account and the expansion is marked as "Ready to use" in my Account / My Products. I also saw an "Authorize Computer" button. On clicking it I see a dialogue requesting some sort of Computer Id and descriptive name.
Does anyone know what this is all about?
--------------------
Also, the Expansion is Version: 1.1.0, Date: 2015-04-23
But there are also:
Sound library update for Windows, Version: 1.5.1, Date: 2014-06-05
MIDI Pack update for Windows, Version: 1.5.0, Date: 2014-05-05
That is, earlier files, but higher version numbers.
Do I need to install them too?

Hi DarkStar, you're allowed 2 authorisations so the ID & description helps enable TT to manage those 2X instances. I assume you've used Toontrack Product Manager for the install? I've found it to be good for managing/adding all updates, it manages the download process & can then delete files after install to save disk space.

Nope, I did not use the Product Manager but did it "manually". I have used 1 Authorization and the second slot is empty.
As for the updates - I looked inside the .zip files. Although their dates are earlier that that of the Expansion itself, their contents are dated after those files that they replace. SO the Date given for the Expansion is misleading and the Updates are needed.
Also, the installation was quite slow - then I saw that the samples were over 26,000 .wav files. I thought that EZDrummer Expansions were .obw monolithic files.

There's a mixture, some libraries using wav files & others the obw files. I recall it used to be a challenge making sure I had latest updates but since using their manager app for the last couple of years it's been a doddle.

Thank you for the info. Maybe I'll try the Manager later
