Am I just being potato or are there no osc retrigger options in either the Analog or Wavetable engines? They're not hidden away somewhere?

In the Wavetable Osc --> under Phase mod --> Drop Down menu (key for retrigger/random for random)PieBerger wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2019 10:48 am Am I just being potato or are there no osc retrigger options in either the Analog or Wavetable engines? They're not hidden away somewhere?
Everyone knows more than I do...

That's what I thought but enabling this mode and moving the dial around (to adjust the starting phase, like most other synths) just increases the depth of PM modulation. Is the retrigger point fixed in this case?operator wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2019 12:23 pmIn the Wavetable Osc --> under Phase mod --> Drop Down menu (key for retrigger/random for random)PieBerger wrote: Tue Dec 24, 2019 10:48 am Am I just being potato or are there no osc retrigger options in either the Analog or Wavetable engines? Edit: I fired it up again and it would seem that it is stuck at a fixed point. Guess I'll save my money until they implement variable phase then

I love this synth but it cripples my laptop’s CPU. Any tricks to lightening the load this one puts on your hardware?
Just realised that sending in ten notes at a time probably isn’t the best use of resources. Keeping poly count to 3 and under makes it totally manageable.

The GUI uses a fair bit of CPU, not as much as Massive X, but if you have integrated Intel graphics like me you'll notice a difference by reducing the size of the interface to 50%, hiding the plugin window or switching to the library window where there are fewer animations.nathanj wrote: Wed Dec 25, 2019 12:27 am I love this synth but it cripples my laptop’s CPU. Thanks, Ficciones! That’s great info and makes total sense. Would be cool if Arturia made all the different windows expandable/retractable. All those waveforms look cool but are largely unnecessary.

Would love to be able to turn off animations on some or all parameters. After enough synth programming you depend on your ears, it’s really just eye candy burdening your computer at a certain point. But it certainly is pretty and fits the name!

I'm thinking about grabbing this on sale.
I own Avenger, Hive, Falcon, NI Suite, Ableton Suite, Synthmaster
I do not own Serum.
I honestly doubt I "need" it but I did enjoy demoing it. It sounds good and is fast to edit. The sounds are usable and sound very "up to date."
I am undecided. I also was planning on getting Diva but I might grab this instead for now.

Are you using granular? You need to be careful with the grain settings, especially higher density will destroy cpu. Under about 3/4 or even 2/3 of max keeps things much more reasonable. Size can also be a factor depending on the density. I haven’t noticed the wavetable or analog oscs being too bad on cpu.nathanj wrote: Wed Dec 25, 2019 12:27 am I love this synth but it cripples my laptop’s CPU. In old movies there was the bad "rich" guy standing with his cigar looking down at the crumbling poor man saying with evil laughter "Everyone has a price"!
With $69, Arturia told me "Everyone has a "discounted" price"!
I failed "no more synth"
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
