I owned the original KLC bundle (in the korguser.net era).
I upgraded to the Arp Odyssey when it came out, so I already migrated to id.korg.com. When I log in to id.korg.com, in the Registered Products section, there's a yellow-highlighted bit with a link to upgrade to the Triton for $149, and a coupon code for it.
Added the item to card and tried to apply the coupon code: "This coupon code cannot be used for this item."
Tried checking out without the coupon code: "It is necessary to apply a coupon code to buy this item."

I'm proud and very happy owner of KORG KLC including Odyssey, but this latest offering just does not inspire me.
I have listened to all Triton demos and frankly they all sound very cheesy to my ears.
For $149 upgrade price, I definitely will skip this one...

Thinking to buy but still not sure. I guess M1 sounds way much better, doesn't it?Atlatnesiti wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2019 7:11 am I have listened to all Triton demos and frankly they all sound very cheesy to my ears.

Personally the Triton demos immediately take to me back to the 90'sAtlatnesiti wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2019 7:11 am I'm proud and very happy owner of KORG KLC including Odyssey, but this latest offering just does not inspire me.

Like with the KLC M1 the main hook is nostalgia, these are the original sounds that were used on countless songs on the radio for a lot of people growing up. For example the M1 instantly conjures memories of top 40 tracks from the 80s. And the pianos in particular just remind you of classic house records. The Triton just reminds you of 90's and 00's commercial hiphop. People used to compose entire songs on Tritons!

The M1 was released in 1988, so I'm always a bit confused when people say stuff like this. It was probably on a lot of 1989 records, sure. But the other nine years of that decade, well...it just wasn't.v1o wrote: Fri Dec 27, 2019 7:52 am

I got a different reply from support asking me further details so all replies aren’t automatic. Super quick response.

This really is a straightforward appeal to nostalgia, isn't it? Old workstations don't really do it for me, its not like classic old synths which are still used widely today. Same with a lot of the Roland Cloud content and all those SRX expansions. As such, although its 4,000 patches, $200 is quite a lot for a bit of whimsy.

Feel exactly the same, the upgrade price should of been similar to the ARP but that’s because I don’t have a need or want for this recreation

Is the final price $149 for all, or is it just for those that have the coupon code?
I ask because I clicked the button to get Triton, and then I landed on a page where Korg Triton was already listed, with the price of $149,00. After applying the coupon, I got the message "coupon applied" but the price remained the same
