If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.

Nice gadget, but it doesn't offer enough precision for "professional" use.
Sensor resolution : only 100x128
Or am i totally wrong and those numbers are dots per inch ?

welll it could very well replace the motorised mixer for mixing in Cubase,Nuendo protools etc
it can do away with your phatboy knob box
it can display the VStie's gui and you edit your synth with your hands(up to ten fingers doing ten different things at the same time) , whilst doing more than the mouse and the knob box could ever do combined
you can finally scratch!!!! on a laptop
all you need is a laptop , a sound-card/Interface and a lemur
no need for a mini keyboard,
no need for motorised mixer for virtual mixing that have lousy resolution btw,
and since the lemur is OSC its in 32 glorious bits of resolution, light years ahead of midi early 1980ies lo-rez for mixing with a thing like a mackie hui
no need for a knob box with all the knobs assigned to anything but what you
want...the lemur makes you in control of the VSTi's gui with your fingers.
no need for a mouse for everything else !!!!!
plus can also double as a graphic pad, except it does the above with your fingers and you can do 10 different actions at the same time instead of point clikc....point click....point click with a pencil

Sounds good and all, and I LIKE the looks of it, but 3 concerns:-a live performance instrument to play OSC compatible virtual synthesizer (Max/MSP/Jitter, Reaktor, audiomulch, Sonasphere, Pure Data, etc.)
-a DJ, VJ and Light Jockey modular deck
-an intuitive tool to control DSP plugins and virtual instruments
-other music, video and sound processes
1. Not much OSC compatible stuff. Certainly none of mine is.
2. No knobs, for obvious reasons. I like knobs, though if you're controlling knob-based plug-ins or parameters, I suppose you could always use a fader instead.
3. The 'resistance' of a real fader (for example) is part of a mixer's selling points. Cheap-feeling faders feel... cheap. NO-feeling faders will feel... like there's nothing there! Harder to do smoother fades.
On the other hand, once it is supported for more mainstream applications (ie. an OSC-to-MIDI converter-- though they chose OSC for a reason, I question the practicality of that decision), the possibilities are stunning!

On the website they say-
"Compare to MIDI, OSC is much more efficient, convenient and reliable. Among other advantages, OSC has the following features : 32-bits precision, no additional hardware interface, no latency, simple specification and easy setup. At last, several LEMUR and computers can be linked together using a basic hub."
This sounds really interesting, anyone have experience with OSC?

Yes I shall try to imagine how that feels from this nice warm office with hot and cold running tea and coffee...Kriminal wrote:Imagine how i feel, its cold, raining and i have to now bike to work and touch cold steel and lift heavy wood all dayCypherOne wrote:imagine what? sorry I'm not very good at this...

Great for the mobile laptop performer, but you would need to be very sure of the finger work, just in case when you go back to the control the sliders don’t jump.
Looks cool, but not that useful to the masses imo.

Site F.A.Q says :
"Nowadays, the is no way to control directly your prefered midi device or application with LEMUR. Nevertheless, here is a trick to manage it. You can use a software such as Max/MSP to convert and route OSC data to your MIDI application.
