Hi There

You may ..or may not…..find this useful if you need to manage wav/mp3 files.

I created a bit of software a while back to make auditioning and bulk copying samples from CD’s and other sources easier. I find it useful for music magazine cover-mounts when I want to copy files from various folders to one folder, or separate the ‘wheat from the chaff’ in existing sample folders. To cut along story short…

I’ve made it available as freeware. If you find it useful, let me know…

It doesnt seem to work with "bulk" as you say, though. Such as shift click doesnt highlight lists

Hi rpc9943
Yeah, your right. At the moment you cant select more than one file in the browser, but I'm looking into that. I guess what I meant by bulk copying was copying files from different locations in one go.

There should be an updated version available within a week that will make it easier to add files:
-drag and drop
-add from right click menu
-hitting spacebar after selecting a file.

Hey, Loop Horse 2 sounds really cool. It sounds like exactly the kind of app I would be looking for to quickly and easily trim down my collection of free samples.

I'm away from my computer at the moment, and I'll test it when I get home, but I'm curious about a few things. First, are there hotkeys? If I want to quickly get through this list of samples, I think it would be really useful to just leave off the mouse altogether. Also, I understand that there is a list of files going to the destination, but is there support for multiple destinations? And if so, can you set hot keys to transfer the sample to any given list?

These features would be really useful in going through and sorting out stuff. You know; set up folders "Acoustic", "Electronic", and in each of those a "BD", "SD", "HH", "Other", "Loops" type of deal. And then I could set "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" for acoustic BD SD HH Other Loop, and "q, w, e, r, t" for electronic BD SD HH Other Loop, just whip through all the samples and preview them, copy them over or delete them, trim them or rename them with BPM, all with the keyboard.

I don't know if this is the intention of the software; but if it has these things, then I am totally overjoyed :D. Either way, thanks for making this cool stuff to share with everyone. I'm glad you're not one of those devs who get mad when people make suggestions! Again, just want to add my appreciation to the list :).

Hi Rellik
The multiple destination thing is planned for later. The core of the app as it stands would need to be re-designed for this but I think it needs that kind of feature and it's possible :)

At the mo there are a few things that can be done by using keys only, like using cursor keys to preview the samples and add files to the copy list with the spacebar. I'll look into adding more hot keys.Your key suggestions are good ones.

When I originally designed the app for myself and designed it not to have to use the keyboard! :? (unless files need re-naming)

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated

If you designed the app for yourself, it's very great of you to share it with everyone else :D not only because it helps out others, but you always know that when you share something with others, they will have ideas that conflict with your original intention. So don't mind me; I'm glad you liked my suggestions.
