Haven't read the thread, just jumping in to say I've just bought Pigments yesterday and I love it so far. Might be an exception, but I actually like the sound a lot. :) Also it has a nice little feature set. It's when you just wanna have a bit of fun, but still stay relevant in terms of synthesis options. Didn't expect I'll like it, demoed it just because of the sale. But damn, well spent bit of money imo. :)

It was such a good deal that I got it too, and I’m really impressed so far.

You’re definitely not the only one who likes it!

Damn I love those function generators. That's the easiest MSEG to operate out of all synths I've ever tried. Little details like that. They just count. ❤

Am I missing something or is there no support for release velocity on this? I wish companies would stop saying “MPE compatible” when its missing one of the best parts of MPE. Or I could just be blind. It’s still a fun synth that is extremely capable of lots of useful things, but one of the best things about MPE is the playability, and release velocity changing aspects of the spaces between notes, or changing the shape/ length of the release stage of an envelope is one of the best parts about it.

In general, ofcourse it is understandable that attack phase is quite important thing in perception of timbre (and main thing that has impact to "punch" factor).
But, for example, if for me most important side of this instrument it's sample mangling, any kind of it (and as second - the very bodyes of long textures - no matter from what osc's types), then, accordingly, I can't obtain this problem (nor nonpunch nor thinner).
(It seems that I’ve already become somewhat went in cycles with broadcasting this idea, well ok - it was just the last time hehe).
