Links have been added to all the freeware instruments, i have also added some sample based instruments that i came across while updating the list. A lot of stuff might still be missing, if you notice any plugin which should be in the list but it is not, please reply with the name.

You made a very great work ! An excellent starting point for many people being after free stuff, beginners or not.
Bravo !
All along January and a bit later again, I think that I'll bring you from time to time other suggestions for a section perhaps a bit weak in the list currently : the section of freeware effects which are known for their great quality (not only based on my own opinions) and sometimes for original features.

Bravo !

Almost none of the Computer Music version of plug-ins ever gets updated. I've confirmed this with Computer Music's support. There are rare instances where the developer will take it upon themselves to update "the CM version", but again, that's rare, and I can't even think of one now. I just know I've stumbled across one in the past.U-o wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 11:06 pm Hi,
what is the latest version of ZebraCM 64bit WIN, by the way? It shows 1.1.0.
Also can someone send me presets? I found only .dll file in my folder, it works without instalation (just copy and paste all files), but folder with presets is empty.
u-He's website has a pretty good repository of presets (both their own and third-party ones) for all their synths, including the free ones. With some of the CM plug-ins, you need specific presets, but some can load the "full" version, even though they'll basically ignore any parameters they can't use.
Steve
EDIT: I just checked u-He's site and found they'd removed the individual links for presets, and are now using some sort of patch librarian. Unfortunately, it appears to be in the middle of an upgrade, and doesn't return useful results when you do a search for it. For example, it shows nothing for presets for Zebralette or Zebra CM, and only one set of presets for Zebra 2. I've downloaded quite a few Zebralette and Zebra 2 presets from that site, so I know they're there. You'll just have to use the "old patch librarian" page until the new one is working properly. You'll find Zebra CM patches here: https://u-he.com/PatchLib/zebra.html#zcm

I thought about adding effects, but this is in Instruments section of the forum. If this could be moved to getting started section, that could be done..BlackWinny wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2019 1:21 am You made a very great work ! And it there isn't any moderator accepting to move this present thread we'll do together (if you want) a similar one for the effects (in the appropriate section) when the New Year's rush is over.

I've lost track of how many lists (and lists of lists) you're making, but you might find these Google Sheets useful:
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-c ... hread.html
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... =214094110
The first is a "definitive" list of free plug-ins. It includes many helpful criteria for each entry, and it has useful sorting and filtering features. The second is a list of user-suggested "add-ons".
Both were initially compiled by "Red Black" on Gearslutz (https://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-c ... hread.html), but I don't think he's maintaining them any longer. Still, referencing these lists would probably be better than re-inventing the wheel with your own lists. And they may give you some ideas on how to make the lists themselves easier to use for everyone else.

No problem, Paree. I hope you can incorporate most (if not all) of what's already been done there, to save yourselves some time, trouble, and effort.Paree wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 8:12 amThank you.planetearth wrote: Wed Jan 01, 2020 2:00 am I've lost track of how many lists (and lists of lists) you're making, but you might find these Google Sheets useful:
