Hi There

You may ..or may not…..find this useful if you need to manage wav/mp3 files.

I created a bit of software a while back to make auditioning and bulk copying samples from CD’s and other sources easier. I find it useful for music magazine cover-mounts when I want to copy files from various folders to one folder, or separate the ‘wheat from the chaff’ in existing sample folders. To cut along story short…

I’ve made it available as freeware, pc only though. If you find it useful, let me know…

pretty cool looking app, thanks for sharing it with us!

Post

really nice, thanks.

would be cool if there was an option to auto audition

also if there was a loop button option in the main window without having to open the editor.

great stuff

when will the vst version be ready ;)

It'll come in handy sorting out those random self-made loops I tend to make on the fly and leave for later

Thanks for this! :)
I really need to clean up my sample collection to, as you say, separate the ‘wheat from the chaff’. This is the prefect tool. Thanks so much for sharing. And and looks nice too.

Hi There
I'm well pleased with your replies :)

Hey Topaz, looping in the main window is something I need to think about, good idea. When you say 'auto audition' do you mean to auto play the tracks, one after another? That's also an option. I guess you could just hit the 'add' button
when you like the sound of it! Another good idea.

If you folk have got more any more comments about the app, it would be cool if you used the forum on the site

Thanks again
John

I guess he means "autoplay" whatever is selected, without any further button clicks required (can be found like that in many samplers).
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Hi, just an option to playback looped in main window

and yes, a single click to play.

if you wanted to get real fancy you could put an option in preferences to ignore autoplay on files over a certain size.

cheers

Hi Topaz
I've added the autoplay on click and you can now loop WAV files of under 30 seconds in the main window.

There'a patch at http://www.zealey.co.uk/software

It's a shame I can make the app loop all files, mp3 files just don't loop neatly using Windows MCI, I guess it's to do with the header info. It's limited to 30 seconds to stop the performance slowing down.

Hi Topaz
That's bizarre. :( I can't recreate that here. Was it okay before you updated the sofware? What operating system are you using?

Drag and drop is a good idea, i'll look into that too.

Hey Topaz,
I've just tried it on a Win98 machine and I'm getting the same. There's some memory issues to address. I'll keep you posted. Feel free to use the support forum on the site.

Cheers
John
