not been knocking around kvr for the last week or so as i've been busy with a load of other stuff.

came home this afternoon and felt right in the mood, so i used some of the ideas i've been messing about with recently and knocked em together into a (reasonably) complete tune.

decimation

i'm not quite happy with the mix (although the fact that i have been playing with this for the last 7 hours straight might have something to do with it) so any pointers in that direction would be most appreciated.

theres actually a part 2 in the making that goes doubletime for a bit and uses some geetars off glooper, but thats not finished yet and i felt like posting

comments - good, bad and ugly - are most welcome.

cheers,

steve.

Most agreeable listening, has an epic feel with top glitchy breakbeat work icing off the cake. Can hear shades of BoC amongst other influences in there. 8)

More please maestro! :D
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

Very nice...

Good pace, great drums, nice use of space, and beautifull sounds. :hihi:

Looking forward to part 2... :)...

nice tune steve. great work with the beats, and a lot of cool sounds and panning going on. So much, that just the couple of listens I took isn't going to do it, and will demand more plays.

Student life has surely put a different twist on your makings (or maybe its me having littler time to listen).

Very melodic piece you got here with some quite odd bits travelling around the sequences. I enjoyed this quite much.

I'm thinkin I like this one a lot. Something I can listen to laying in bed with the lights out and headphones on. The automations DEMAND headphones and I love that! Killer lead part that starts about halfway through... Thats the part that made my head start rocking with the music.

Keep it up

Some good sounds in there Steve - especially impressed with the tight delay effect on the drums. :)

the weird crossfaded morphing thing at the beginning and the choral stuff are both absynth. the noisy squelchy bass thing is kraklis effem. the arp is part asynth and part crystal. the drums are a loop slowed right down and through metal mickey. i chopped the kick and snare out and loaded them up into sr202 so i could add extra bits and pieces here and there. the lead sound is absynth annd the ep is mr ray.

cheers,

steve.
