The words of an intellectual giant, right there.
May I humbly suggest "NO U" as an alternative? No wannabe alpha should be without it.

1 - sifting through a comment history is... creepy and a clear ad hominem attempt (failed if i might add)ramseysounds wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 10:21 am
Just reading through some of your 37 posts, it seems most are whining about sales. You clearly have a vendetta against internet sales and seem to be on a one man crusade to rid the world of evil. Good luck with that. I’m off to look at Waves fantastic sales offerings![]()
2 - letting companies get away with shady business practices is bad for everyone - the consumer and the competiton, its only good for the company practicing shady business
3 - there are laws in EU that prevent such shady practices, so not only is this not a one-man-crusade, it's lawful practice for half of the western world.

This is not even an argument that matches the law you quoted.profaudio wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 7:06 am https://europa.eu/youreurope/citizens/c ... dex_en.htm
Again fits with their "8 units available at this price" COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE.When sellers tell you that a particular offer will only be available for a very limited time, they might be trying to pressure you to buy before taking the time to make an informed choice. It is unfair to claim that an offer is limited in time when that is not in fact the case.
You’re conflating volume in stock and length of sale period here. Courts don’t give credence to personal interpretations of laws, they are applied to the letter.

If people don't like how Waves do business, just vote with your wallet and keep it shut. But better be careful what I say, too many people getting upset with common sense

Everything has volume in stock if a manufacturer decides it does. Waves is far from the only company that advertises units of downloadable software in stock.Ploki wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:35 pmplugins don't have volume in stock.Forgotten wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 2:28 pm

but if i was already invested in such an ecosystem and started noticing that i'd speak my mind.
also if i noticed that such behaviour is rubbing off on other devs.
nothing wrong with pointing out shady business practices, it's better for the consumer in the long run.

1 bike available at this discounted price for 24 hours only.Simon from Belgium wanted to buy a bicycle. He found a special offer valid for just 24 hours on a Dutch online shop.
The bicycle wasn't exactly what he was looking for, but he didn't have time to compare as the offer was valid only for such a short time. He quickly decided to buy the bicycle to take advantage of the 50% discount.
To his surprise, when he browsed the internet shop a week later he saw exactly the same promotion. Simon realised it was a false offer to trick him into buying the bicycle. He complained to the trader but didn't get a response.
He then went to the European Consumer Centre in Belgium who transferred the case to their colleagues in the Netherlands. A short time later the Dutch centre told Simon that, thanks to their action, the trader had corrected the website.
Waves: "8 units available at this price" / "lowest price ever" > immediately after those 8 there are another "30 units available at this price" (constantly increased) > 2 days later there's the same bundle, more units + an extra added plugin "at this [same] price" > days later there are UNLIMITED AVAILABLE AT THE SAME PRICE.

because imposing artificial limits on resources that are unlimited by every sense of the term is essentially a form of market manipulation, which is prohibited in most of the developed world.Forgotten wrote: Thu Jan 02, 2020 4:27 pm

these both apply to waves.
