went to bed, "slept" for about two hours.
limited things to do. everybody else asleep.
decided to create this thread in near silence.
a few or so days ago, i managed to solve a reaper problem, by trial and error.
i'm new to reaper's built-in video editor.
i loaded a series of pic files onto a reaper track. they showed up in reaper's video window.
the problem was that the pics were being displayed joltily and there were black gaps in between pics.
so i googled for a solution. most were "install vlc" and "install ffmeg". so i did both. problem remained unsolved.
so, i'm about to give up but i thought "maybe the pics have meta data that reaper doesn't like". so i found a free meta data cleaner. it didn't help.
so then i thought "maybe the pics are too big". so then i downloaded a free multi-picture resizer thingy and resized all the pics to 1280 x 720.
eureka, that did it. it was the solution. maybe there are other solutions, i don't know.
okay, i'm going to bed again. damn insomnia!

hah, there are about 25,000 7-leter words in the north american official tournament scrabble dictionary. that's the one i use of course.enroe wrote: Sat Jan 04, 2020 10:26 am Ohhhyeah, I am glad that didn't try to load 20,000 pictures at the same time!![]()
slideshows of words might be a great way to memorize them words.
imagine 25,000 words flashing by on the screen at the rate of one picture per second. that's 25,000 seconds. that's about 417 muinutes. that's about 7 hours. google stated so.
but that would be superboring to do. i'd rather just play speed scrabble but... no study means no progress. just like studying music theory (I don't study that). time consumers.
but 25,000 picture files, that's a lot of disk drive space. nah, it's better to use zyzzyva. every decent scrabble player probably have used zyzzyva. still time-consuming though.
i wish i am a vampire. vlad the i'm paler. i'm already an insomniac anyways. i type long posts at night while the kitty is doing who knows what in the basement, molesting mice most likely.
hey how come vampires don't get alzheimer's? coz they are not real?
oh wait, vampires do get lots a sleep during the daytime, supposedly. what about vurt? his SIG: don't feed the vampyre. okay, i gotta take care of sumthin'. adios, ciao. take care.
