Can I turn any audio WAV file into a Wavetable ?

Lets say I have a sample, a lead sound which I can export to an audio WAV file, recorded at middle C, 24bit 44,000Hz.
Is it possible to make that into a Wavetable and import it into, for example, Serum or VPS Avenger?
Do I have to make that Wavetable 2048 in length, normalize it to 0Db - (wondering how to make it 2048 in length ? Serum take a 2048 long file doesn't it...?)

Yes, you can. Serum has a plenty of options for importing waveforms.
However, to make any sense from them, waves need to be periodic and have more-or-less stable pitch. Otherwise you'll end up with garbage.

Thanks. I know its got to be middle C, but does the resolution matter, 24bit, 44.1khz.DJ Warmonger wrote: Thu Jan 09, 2020 2:15 pm Yes, you can. Serum has a plenty of options for importing waveforms.

How do I make it 2048 in length? Is that 2048 bytes, or something else...
I think edge smoothing would be good also, but I think the synth will do that (Avenger does I think).

My favorite synth for this is Icarus from Tone2. It seems to do the best job. Serum seems to require more futzing around to get useful results.
