my personal moral of the story: i need to make them much shorter and more of an interesting progression. There was just too much texture I wasn't able or willing to let go of.

not only does it seem good for ambient sountrack but I think it's one of the better sountracks that I've heard, not being just passable but having something interesting... i wonder if it's the chord progressions or melodic development that attracts me so much. I keep having trouble in making such slow changes... what's the secret, long notes???

long note/drone parts comes from the Falcon Multi Granular synthesis

i record a mini video to explain a bit..
without making any preparation earlier ..
so there is too much stupidly wrong pronounced names and things..
as you will hear with the Notes, Tones, Solo Defeat .. and many more

also i was keep saying Step LFO (its the Step Envelope)
i was trying to explain how to create that organic tonal drones with 2 modulators
in the Falcon patch
Modulator1: LFO
Modulator2: Step Envelope
both assigned to Multi Granular's "Position" parameter.

plus there is one more Step Envelope (i missed to show in the video)
that assigned to a Gain parameter to create a Fade in Fade Out effect in the Falcon..

anyway..

wow, Thank you so very much! And it's great to hear you. And to quote you right back from what you said at the top of the thread "it wasn't bad as you introduced " ) seriously, your english is nice, I didn't have any trouble understanding you and enjoyed the explanations. I sincerely hope you'll do this again in future videos where you show off your advanced mastery of RC and the IdeaGenerator as I feel i have so much to learn from you in RC use.

thank you so much for all your videos. There's such a scarcity of RC tutorials and so much to learn that your videos are like oasis in a desert that are always exciting.
One thing I often wonder is for example if like here you start from some Bach phrases how do you make sure they're unique and not easily recognized by say Bach lovers. Do you convert them to generators and generate variations on them, or simply them being in a different context and progressions make them different by conforming to the chords? Or is it a question of how they're mixed.
And what kind of phrase patterns did you notice work well? My few experiments let me unclear. I figure one must repeat a phrase at least once to mark it, but then you need variation, but then you need something pointing back, but if you repeat the phrase again then it's 3 phrases in a row the same... I wish I knew how to do in RC what composers do in real life, like repeat with variation (it's confusing because we have our functionality called "variations" but I think you know what i mean).

Anyway, thanks again for your video and very much looking forward to future ones (subcribed to your youtube channel always with great excitement as well as HiEnergyMusic's who also sometimes makes tutorials)

My latest music done with RapidComposer is a medieval(-ish) sounding tune. The melodies jump between minor, dorian, mixolydian and harmonic/melodic minor scales.

oh, that would be so great indeed, thank you very much. I've been trying to also do scale changes myself but I'm not so thrilled with the result and watching all sorts of music theory videos I keep wishing for more RC functionality in suggesting scale changes based on computing notes in common like I keep seeing famous songs which play for a while making you think you're say in minor, but then turning you into say dorian because it turned out the composers tricked your ear into making an assumption by only playing notes at the intersections of these two scales only to later reaveal it was the other one.

Do you use such tricks, or how do you plan your scale changes? I'm simply using a rudimentary change, but I'd love to learn more how you do it. Thank you for all your tutorials!!!!!!! I can't wait for more. There's so much more to learn in using RC!! Thank you so very much Attila for making suuuch a wonderful software!!! Changed my life!
