I've wanted to learn the intro to Crazy on You for decades.
“You can blow out a candle, but you can't blow out a fire.
Once the flame begin to catch, the wind will blow it higher.”

I have the dexterity, not the ear. Just found a decent lesson on it, though.harryupbabble wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2020 6:22 pmhuh? that's one heck of procrastination!
besides, is it that hard to learn?
I wouldn't know.

uses the same guitar bit as:

Stabbing Westward and Filter shared some personnel (maybe a guitarist?) and I’ve seen it written in an interview that SW were fine with the Filter guitarist borrowing the guitar pattern. But I’ve also seen someone say on YouTube that the bands are mad at each other over it. I can’t cite the article I read where they said they were cool with it, so...??
The part that annoys ME, though, is that I pointed this out to my hipster friend years back, and he was so disgustedly offended that I dared suggest Filter had used Stabbing Westward’s guitar pattern that he called me crazy.
We weren’t friends any more when I was vindicated by seeing the statement from the band in the article I’ve since lost track of.
This same hipster former friend also called me crazy for saying that the film “Star Trek Generations” reused the VFX shot of an exploding Klingon bird of prey (space craft) from “Star Trek VI”.
He actually apologized for calling me crazy that time. He read in an interview with the production team that they DID indeed reuse that one single shot. He was sheepish about it, but at least he told me, rather than never bringing it up after he found out I was correct.
I think he was just so insecure that I could recognize these things so easily and he couldn’t. Sigh.

the stabbing westward one states "video not available" for my region.
so here's one that is available.

speaking of (possibly) stolen guitar patterns, here's a couple. may not be note for note though.
the guitar at 2:10 sounds stolen?

i heard the kraftwerk song this morning and it sounded like a coldplay song to me but i couldn't remember the name of the coldplay song so,
i just googled "kraftwerk computer love coldplay" and it turns out the coldplay song is called "talk" and it seems the band got permission to use that kratwerk riff.
