I had some space constraints on my board and picked up one of these recently. Really like it:

^ Thanks, it’s similar to this https://www.landlordfx.com/product/a-cheeky-pint/ which I was looking at.

I’ve not got into mini pedals yet as it would open the flood gates. Landlord FX do bundles with a PSU and cables so I might save up.
I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

OK, flood gates on standby. Looks like there’s loads that look the same but vary slightly in components/schematics and vary wildly in quality.

Donner (Ultimate Comp) seems the cheapest acceptable (~£25), not sure on the difference between Outlaw and Landlord other than Landlord are easier to get in the UK. They are similar prices.

I thought the same, they look similar. The Landlord is advertised as a optical type, don't know about the Wrangler and the Donner, or if it makes any odds.

TC Electronic Forcefield gets some good reviews.

I've got a Marshall compressor and love it, it's one of THE bargain pedals if you ask me. I buy them on ebay when I see them cheap 'cos I want a backup but end up giving the spare to other people. Use it when you need quick compression (it's a VCA design I think). It can give a good squash if you want but, unsurprisingly, noise can rise if you push it. The emphasis control is reasonably subtle but can be useful in changing tonal balance.

Isn’t that based on a Behringer, which will probably be based on something else? I’ve heard very mixed reviews about the cheaper TC pedals. I have a MojoMojo and it’s quality through and through so would give it a go at ~£30.

Cool, I’ll probably get one as it looks like a different design. From experience/taste, I want an optical compressor but having a VCA also would be more flexible.

Rowin looks like a lower priced version of the Donner Comp pedal. At £15 (eBay from Hong Kong) seems worth a go whilst I save for a couple of others. Reviews are OK, with occasional good ones. Even if it’s bad it will give me perspective on others.

you can get them all on ebay. Just check that they're shipping from the UK so you don't have to wait two weeks ;)

^ Given the price difference. I don’t mind the wait from China, even if it can be a month.

I have a Digitech MultiFX pedal and a Fender Mustang amp so I can play around whilst I wait.

On ebay, you can get them for the same price (it's usually a Chinese company) - but shipped from the UK.

^Thanks, I’ll look out for that.

For now, I’m ordering an XVive V9 Lemon Squeezer. Gets very good reviews and Thomann have them for 20€, which seems a bargain.

While the price is low at Andertons, I extended my harem by ordering a 6th Muff.

And as of today, the new ThorpyFX pedals can be preordered, I went for a ThorpyFX Field Marshal fuzz (improved remake of the Lovetone Big Cheese pedal, whose creator Dan Coggins was involved).

Here's the pedal for blokes like me - and Placebo fans in general.

It's sold out though!
Damn.

I wonder if they have one that makes you grow hair?
