Bitwig & 3rd Party VSTs

When using something like sylenth1 or any other 3rd party vst, when I change a preset or any setting on the vst instrument itself, then I can’t play sound from my keyboard or midi controller until I click back on the track to highlight it. This is so annoying and time consuming, does anyone who uses bitwig know how to get around this? I know go studio has the feature to allow vst control where no matter what u change, u can still play from your midi control/keyboard wo having to click on the track. How do I achieve this in bitwig?

That's definitely NOT the case for me with Sylenth or any other VST I own (and there's quite a lot of them...). Just checked it with Sylenth1 to be sure.ubailey wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:50 pm When using something like sylenth1 or any other 3rd party vst, when I change a preset or any setting on the vst instrument itself, then I can’t play sound from my keyboard or midi controller until I click back on the track to highlight it. The track instrument plays from the keyboard when it's armed for record (the red button with black dot), it's not because of the highlighting of the track.ubailey wrote: Sun Feb 02, 2020 8:50 pm When using something like sylenth1 or any other 3rd party vst, when I change a preset or any setting on the vst instrument itself, then I can’t play sound from my keyboard or midi controller until I click back on the track to highlight it. In my setup it doesn't have this issue, once the track is armed, it doesn't disarm itself because of preset change or change in the VST.
Try to update the Bitwig version.

I’m on version 3.1.2 and I know to have the track armed

I figured it out. There is a setting: “Map computer input to caps lock key” that I disabled before. I reenabled it and now i can control my vsts normally. Thanks all

Well, you said it also doesn't work with your MIDI controller. Otherwise this would be a clear clue...ubailey wrote: Mon Feb 03, 2020 6:58 am I figured it out.
