From the video (at 15:20)
Oh

What about the GUI . Is it resizable?
Who cares, it's 1 EUR :D

Idk if resizeable, but at least skinnable (it comes with its own tool for that)

Arithmetics. The market is crowded. But 1€ is practically nothing for most pockets. If, say, 50,000 people pay 1€, it's €50,000 in the bank. And, as recursive one pointed out: customer register, selling preset banks for, say 2€, and so on.

Makes some sense in a squeezed market, I think.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I guess he wants to have some userbase statistics. Maybe he is planning to sell preset packs, additional ROM content and such, I gusss that's also what the usage stats he is talking about are for.
The user analytics are offline data (at all times) and made purely for the end user to gain insight into their session.

I've been using GENESIS CM for a very long time. It's great, but I always wanted way more features and control.

GENESIS pro? Now we're talkin'!

And will there be a Mac version, too?

Hey, I really want to purchase this amazing synth but will it be available on Mac OS? If it won't be available on Mac OS, do I have to use bootcamp to be able to use it?

Post

With such price this is serious challenge to Soundspot and WA Production with their cheap mid-quality plugins :D

Post

This is a very well-though-out plugin. He used his experience as a musician to make something musicians want and it shows.

As for how he made it, from what I've seen in the video he uses the 32-bit version of SynthEdit and the extra modules that are only available for it (the CK modules). So if it's going to be available as a 64-bit plugin, it'll be pre-wrapped in jBridge, which is a service that the jBridge developer offers. Superwave plugins use this method for their 64-bit versions of their plugins.

So if there's any "catch", that would be it.

Otherwise, he did impressive work in functionalities, GUI design and also sound quality. It looks like the kind of synth that you could use to create a wide array of sounds. At 1 euro, I'll get it for sure.
