It's a SynthEdit VST. SynthEdit can generate Mac VSTs and AUs, so I have to think the answer is yes. Otherwise, yeah, Bootcamp or Parallels.

EDIT: SampleScience reports that he's using the 32-bit version. That really does suck. You cannot generate a macOS VST on the 32-bit version of SynthEdit.

I hope the presets will be as versatile as the synth. itself.

Even if he would, it's really not stable at all, at least, in my experience. There was a free synthesizer made in SE that was available for Windows and macOS (an 80s Kawai synth emulation), but the developer got so many complaints that he now states that the plugin isn't been developed anymore. Even on Windows 10, I was never able to get a stable plugin made in SE...

That's unfortunate. At least at 1 euro, you're not missing much of an intro sale and can wait and see how it goes.

Still crossing fingers, looks like a lot of us are looking for that inspiration wherever we can find it.

So it seems that the "catch" is – no Mac. Oh well…
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Post

No mac?! That sucks anus!

Post

Also, as above on previous page, 32-bit only.

Seems like mr. Ozcan is stuck in the last decade

Synthedit 1.4 is apparently 64 bit and can render AU plug-ins, so?

He did say he's been working on it for 8 years.

I might also be stuck in the last decade, but it's pretty ok. YOU might be the one who's missing out on all the new stuff happening in the last decade, try to keep up. ;)

so, not all 3rd party modules have been updated, if he is using those he can't export to 64bit

Okay, hope it works with Jbridge but this is quite a bummer.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Hardly, he's building this thing on older synthedit software that will not port to 64bit which is "so" last decade. If this is 32bit only, 1 Euro or not, not interested, jbridge is no longer stable either so its 64bit only or not at all.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Only windows and only 32-bit seems like a pretty bad format for a vst synth that represents the "contribution" of an artist "to the music industry". Let's hope it will be available for OSX and 64-bit. Not being able to use this amazing vst in our Macs will make me any many other producers very sad.

Well, he started developing it long before the 64 bit transition and the development is tied to Win-only platfrom. Same story as Viper, the guy is a great producer and sound-designer, he knows what a good synth should sound like and how it should operate, but he is not a programmer.

I'm glad Ummet decided to make the synth finally available, even with all the limitations. In my experience Jbridged stuff is useable on Win7 (yes, I'm somewhat stuck in the last decade too). Stability is not the greatest tho, it's safer to freeze things, make patches in a blank project in order not have the whole work lost and such. Still, better than nothing. And 1 Eur... :)
