No it doesnt have inplace midi editing.

Ask yourself.... do you really need it or is it just a nice to have

Traditionally SL does not have surround sound support.

I think the limit on the number of instruments and sends is different too? but I'm not 100% sure on that.

I seen the upgrade price from SL2 is 99 euro's... does anyone know the upgrade price from SL1? I couldn't find it on the steinberg website.

The price from SL1 will most likely be the same, as the price from SX1 to 3 was the same as from SX2.

SL1 had 16 VST instrument slots, SL2 had 32 even though it was publicised as only having 16. I'd expect there to still be 32 slots. I believe that SX3 has 64 slots.

I've given in and updated from SL2 to SX3 already. The things that I wanted most was the extended mixer and the ability to work in surround if I wanted to.

Well it's been released today. I'm going to buy this upgrade (mainly for the freeze functionality). However I can't seem to find anywhere that is selling the upgrade?... where did you SX3 owners get your upgrades from? straight from steinberg or from somewhere like digital village/ turnkey?
