Hey there's a lot of companies kind of doing the same thing here and it's kinda getting weird.
What's the best sounding -or warmest yet realistic- sounding Spring Reverb in native plugin form?
it's hard to choose nowadays and average ppl don't the time to test out each & every one

Dunno, best is subjective and I'm a novice anyway.
But, there is a sale of 20 FX plug-ins that includes a spring reverb and some other stuff for free, might be worth a demo.

I have tons of spring reverb plugins. I also have a couple hardware units. I love spring reverb and have been using them since the 70s. Here's my top 3 list:
Aegean Spirit is one of the most realistic nicest sounding. https://aegeanmusic.com/spirit-reverb
u-he Twangstrom https://u-he.com/products/twangstrom/
Overloud SpringAge https://www.overloud.com/products/springage
AudioThing Springs is promising but I have yet to pick it up.
The most realistic spring reverb software is, IMHO, Acustica Nebua 4 with Cupwise's spring programs.

i appreciate u guys reaching out here, guys
alls mostly subjective, but specifically w/ plugins (especially analog modeling), warmth & realism in character/air should be prioritized?
it does all depends on whatever u do. i just like making weird noises lol.
I was wishing there'd be an equivalent to some "Unfiltered Audio" type plugin that did some crazy spin on Spring type tones.

I think that describes AudioThing Springs, from my trying the demo out. There is a lot under the hood there to really go crazy with the essence of of the spring sound.TDVV wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2020 6:47 am I was wishing there'd be an equivalent to some "Unfiltered Audio" type plugin that did some crazy spin on Spring type tones.

It's either one or the other.
For realism and 'soundgoodized' spring (aka real spring without the warts and the bad breath) - go to u-he.

I use PSP Springbox. It's excellent and sounds fantastic. Satisfies my springing needs.
I'm sure the U-HE and Audiothing ones are top shelf because they make total quality plugins.

Not much to add here; except that you might already have some 'spring - emulation' hidden in an Amp - Simulation (which could be decent) or even an Delay, like the Audiothing Outer Space has a Spring Algo, too!
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Thanks guys! The AudioThing Springs seems the most openended tonalwise.
Twangstorm, seems best for automation patches,
particularly.
it all depends on whats being done w/ the input as part of the workflow than the plugins themselves.
i didnt like the eventide spring tonally at all, for some reason, even with proper gainstaging.
But yeah, AudioThing wins for me here, at least hah.
Thanks again

I was initially disappointed with Eventide Spring however I took a second look and realized the value is in the multi-parameter morphing and automation. The general sound of it is medicore however with the multi-parameter morphing it makes it very unique and useful so bought it.SHall1000 wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2020 9:04 am So I was not the only one who was disappointed with the Eventide. I am waiting on a sale on the Audiothing.
