It's difficult to leave it for at least 2 reasons: 1) it's a very good DAW, 2) its re-sell value for the current 4.6 Professional is $100-125 after you've paid the transfer fee; it's not worth the botherroman.i wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2020 5:09 pm That's what I'm saying, someone needs to open a "Why you left Studio one" thread to close the cycle.
So many left DAWs! What is the right DAW?

the right daw for me is reaper. i've tried it and i'm not sorry.
i don't think i am ever leaving reaper because i'm a professional slacker and i'm perpetually broke and i can't/won't afford any more daws.
sure, reaper seems hard to learn but i don't need to learn everything.
i've already learned how to edit 20,000+ midi clips. what else is there?
well, it's saturday morning and it's snowy and it's cold and it's dreary but it's cozy inside. there... is speed scrabble. laters y'all.

Tracktion for me: it's the only DAW in which every track appears precisely once. Everything else (well, other than Audacity, Wavosaur, and other audio editors) does this bizarre thing in which a track appears twice: horizontally on the top, and vertically on the bottom.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

If the best sonic quality without clip launching and fancy racks/native vsts is what you need I would go cubase, if you like experimenting with lots of modulations without a need to draw lots of automation I would go bitwig

Nobody will ever leave Ardour... (the few who use it have no time for KVR...)

I am used to Logic Pro X and for me works pretty good (after 5 years of using). It is not that intuitive but after learning keyboard shortcuts and using two monitors it became easier.

I don't like the right DAW because I'm lefty
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

On topic: the right DAW is whichever one gets the ideas from your mind into the air via the speakers. It’s as much a matter of how your mind works as the DAW. They’re all good and they’re all a PITA. Just my opinion
