This isn’t a gift out of the developers concerns for the poor.
It’s offered cheap to collect data.
And then there will be €€ sound packs and €€ feature upgrades.
The Genesis Pro is only collecting data offline for the end user only. All feature upgrades will be free.

I have just made a new video demonstrating the sounds of the Genesis Pro. In the next video we will elaborate more on its specific features.

I'm sorry, what?! It even has little sounds when changing certain things? That's pretty neat.

Still, is it 64bit so us Ableton users can use it without bridging?

I used the original heaps back in the day. It was a huge system hog (an I hate freezing tracks :scared: Personal preference thing).

If Ummet was able to get this to a reasonable level of efficiency through... errr.... custom modules or something (talking out me ass now, no idea what the actual issue was with SE pluggies re resource hogging and stability problems - main reason I stopped using SE [and SM for that matter] plug-ins, years ago), I'll definitely be using it. Buying it for sure, of course, but buying and actually using are two different things. Hopefully it stacks up, cause for the sound side of things... :tu:

For sure, it's like a lot of the cheap plugins I bought some time ago for pocket change, yes they sound good but... I'm going to use synths I feel more at home with.

Yeah, right. Offline for the user. As if the users need to know that data.
There’s something going on here, and you haven’t even answered if it’s 32 or 64 bit. A question you must have registered by now.

What has “working for free” and “dinner on the table” have to do with collecting data?
If this is the business model, which seems to be the terrible norm these days, I really wish you would go out of business.

NI even collects city and country. Tell me how that improves the product. And has their usage data collection ever amounted to anything?

Do you want me to teach you how companies are earning money by collecting and processing data now?

IMHO it doen't help to NI that they are collecting some data. They have let their synths unimproved, so if someone nowadays looking for a synth, i'm sure easily finds a more modern one, than NI can offer. NI once was the leader of vst synth creators, but those times are over.
Currently they have their main strength in Kontakt, that is still a great platform.
Back to the topic of Genesis Pro - if this will be released,
will be yet another nail in the coffin of NI Synths.

Has anyone been able to find out what data Genesis Pro will collect ? Usage time ? Number of instances ? Your project midi data ? :P

With N.I. synths you can opt out of data collection and it's supposed to be anonymous so not too evil.

Data mining to improve products is one thing, data mining to generate revenue is another but the only way I'm aware of to generate revenue is to sell the data to a third party but what could knowing how many times you use Genesis Pro do another company any good ?

Anyway not getting an answer to the simple "will there be a 64 bit version" question hardly gives one confidence in the developer.

Leaving things to speculation does no one any good including the developer.....
