i've been creating some tracks based off of the early 90s late 80s breakbeat era, some things i can't find to figure out are some of those weird voice samples on these breakbeats. i'll list some examples below.

A lot are rap samples. That’s where it comes from stylistically, from scratching. Hiphop of that era would often use scratched quotes from other rappers to make choruses. I definitely hear Flava Flav in that first track.. the ‘Doh!’ Which they probably took from ‘don’t believe the hype’

Yeah i can definitely hear Public enemy on it since you said that. I'm probably just over thinking it
I know how a lot of producers making this music around 1991 would use sample CDs like Zero-G. I was thinking they might come from vocal samples in the CDs

There were a few back in 1991, this one is very famous among the rave days https://www.discogs.com/Zero-G-Datafile ... se/4994507thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2020 4:42 pm I doubt many were using sample CDs back in 91 ... we were sourcing our own samples via crate digging, etc back then. First time I saw a sample CD was in 96.
So many producers used this one and later stuff like Jungle Warfare
