Maybe indeed my favorite analog delay and plate reverb (including all my third party FX plug-ins). For the specific tones they make i indeed would prefer it over all my reverb and delay tools (including things like Replika-XT, Valhalla delay/reverbs, the 2CAudio stuff,
UVI...and so on). Maybe hard to tell yet since i need to hear the modules on other sources than the P900 intern modules. ...
Oh and the saturation of the 938 output is just fantastic (as well my favorite in any synth so far).
I also wish they would bring it to iOS for a great multi-touch usage.
Everything you mentioned is exactly what is going through my mind. I don't know either! The sound of the delay+ Reverb and saturation in the P938 is pure cream. The REGEN on the delay when you smack it to 10 and wait for the repeats to come back at you is amazing.
So yeah! I thought too that this 3 punch combo if I can get it as a separate plugin, then I can use it on all my synths. The code was written exclusively in xCode. So we are now porting the specific portion to JUCE as it is a framework that can deliver the plugin on multiple platforms.
I am hoping in less than a month to have that Effect plugin ready.
I am also planning to be more active on the KVR forum. And finally, for next version, we need to fill all the 128 sound patches. Currently only 64 are used. So this is an invitation to send us your favorite custom patches to include in the next update (with due credit in our manual).

Would be glad to as I have a ton of Model 15 patches I want to bring over to P900 - just need to be able to release a licence locked to a machine I no longer have!

Unauthorized use of established trademarks?

Anonymous/hidden domain registration for their websites?

Hm, hm...
:o Come on now! Novation comes from Latin novāre "to make new". And we used Pulsar Novation for the company name. And Novation, the synth company, is called Novation Digital Music Systems Ltd.
Pulsar Modular has been on the market since 2016 as earlier mentioned.
I have setup the company in beautiful sunny Antalya, Turkey - as it reminds me of my days in the Silicon Valley, CA (but without the traffic jam). You can Whatsapp us at +90 530 111 49 07

There is no any relation...
OMG, seriously? How can Pulsar Novation not be related to Novation?
Pulsar Moog?
Pulsar Akai?
Pulsar Dave Smith?

Will the FX plugin be free for P900 owners?

Post

It will be discounted to P900 owners but not free. The reality is: we need to make money to be able to continue development. We have a full time illustrator, currently working on rendering the GUI in raster vector format, another working on JUCE GUI to map controllers to images and one C++ coder porting from original x-code to JUCE. And finally we hired an social media lady to prepare our launch and advertising once we deliver the product.

Are you thinking the iOS app as a MIDI over Bluetooth controller for the P900 running on OSX? Or porting the P900 as a soft synth to iOS?

Of course both :)
But mainly i mean indeed porting the P900 full engine to iOS. P900 sounds way better than the Moog Model 15 app f.e. and using such synths on an 12.9“ iPad pro is just the closest feeling to use real hardware. This would be even another step to ditch my mac.
Maybe start with the FX?

I’d definitely pay for an iOS version. It’s the best-sounding VA I’ve ever heard.

Cinebient wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2020 10:31 pm I do not wanted to post more useless demos but well, i could not resist and i´m bored right now...so here we go again.
A simple preset (a mellow LFO on filter cutoff thingie) where i tweaked the delay, reverb and saturation a bit on the fly. Of course it is just a snippet of how the delay, reverb and saturation can sound. Again my personal flavor i like as well....
https://soundcloud.com/user-790535032/p ... saturation
I appreciate your enthusiasm for the synth... however the P900 doesn't sound nearly so good to me as say the new Sequential Pro 3. (I mention the Pro 3 cause I was just listening to some audio examples) I find the Pro 3 a stronger and more vibrant sound and the saturation is very musical. To me, the difference is significant
I listened to many demos of the Sequential Pro 3 and i cannot hear something much better there. Of course that means nothing and i never played it myself. Also it is just a mono/paraphonic synth and not polyphonic. But i will not say P900 is better.
Maybe just for me. Anyway i really can just compare it to software and hardware i played myself since there is so much you can do and sometimes slightly tweaks will change the sound in a dramatic way. P900 is just for me the only software which is really complex and at the same time gives me that organic feeling.
I compare it to things like Repro, The Legend, The Moog apps and 100 others, including some hardware (even a Moog i played with).
Then P900 has 5 different filters and depending on your signal path/modulations/etc. you get very different results of course. Like i said also the included FX are just perfect for the tone of the P900 modules while i find that some other very good analog emulations comes with very good FX but often they do not fit well for me with the sound and it doesn´t glue as well. Hard to describe. It might be a thing i feel.
Of course your opinion is legit and i do not expect people liking P900 as me.
But i have yet to found a software modular with 8 voices which sound as good and reacts in such an organic way.
P900 is of course also not good for all kind of sounds but for my VA sounds it covers nearly all for me.
Also the GUI and workflow is lightyears ahead of all other modulars for me which are sluggy, slow or more complicated to use. In this case P900 is also for me the best modular (beside an iOS app which has an even more interesting approach to a software modular, can do much more complex things and is FX and midi FX on top but the raw sound and the FX are not as good here).
Mostly demos are anyway not the best thing to judge and nothing can replace to play with something on your own. But of course sometimes there is no other way to compare.
Maybe we both are right in depending on what you like since i know a lot people which agree with me on P900 and some of course also says "it just sounds like any other synth".

Is it raster, or vector? It can't be both at the same time :)

You are correct. We are auto-tracing in Adobe Illustrator and typing the text and filling the colors- we will export in SVG which is vector format for use in JUCE, but will also export in PNG which is Raster format for future iOS version.
