If there's none anywhere, then it's a good occasion to creating one here then! :P

for all 6 of us  :hihi:

i know foosnark does a bit and whyterabbyt too.
im sure justin has done odd bits?

comes up in modular a lot, some of us have various ways of incorporating contact mics and such for use as audio or modulation.

i think having the ability to just plug a contact mic in even on your audio input makes this kind of thing more "attractive"
theres something about the sound being "momentary" rather than a caprured sample you can keep opening and trying something new, that pushes you to experiment (live looping is not what im talking about) imo.

then a small wooden box, drop bits of stuff...
roll dice, funnel rice, hit it with a stick/brush/object of chouce
springs can be fun too

Are you exploring you too vurt this area of experimental music? If you are, share your work :D

No spam here, of course. Just to discover new stuff since it's so rare. You can check my Sleeping On Lotus Ashes project (link down below in my signature), mostly exploring electroacoustic music, heavily toward deep manipulations and transformation of field recordings. (although this project is now on a hiatus and probably dead, as I'll switch to another new one soon).

Hopefully others will stop by and share too.

And it's mainly for posting tracks, obviously, not really for discussing.
Besides, I had the opportunity some years ago to meet François Bayle, a pioneer in acousmatic music, and he was kind enough to introduce me to his works, a really nice old man.

Yeah, forums would be nice for real discussions on techniques, tools, recording equipment, etc. FB is rather limited for that.

You are lucky, Francois Bayle is a pillar in the acousmatic world.

Lines often has acousmatic/musique concrete/experimental music discussions:

My musical background is just that. Though personally I moved completely into live electronic improvisations. Traditional acousmatic music is pure tape music.
I was musical assistant for acousmatic composers at Experimental Studio Freiburg and CCMIX...
